maximum air intake for two F135’s

Canards ruin everything they are put on, looks wise. I want a swing wing f4 or better yet an f4 with typhoon engines slapped in it. Think of the weight savings.

i don’t think they go together

i do wish EJ200 was put in more things

Specially EJ230 that was proposed (~10-15%) more thrust, or the 3D TVC variant of EJ200 or them both together

Just imagine a Hawk with a EJ200 instead of a Adour, or a Gripen, Super Hornet, Tornado

I dare say even some others like Rafale, MiG-29, JF-17, F-16 and F-15 could be meaningfully impacted with an EJ200, although F100/110 and M88 are still great engines

Actually this one did kind of exist.

An EJ-200 equipped F-16 would be worse. It’s in a lower thrust class than F-100 and F-110 engines.

F-16 shoulda received F-119 just for the funs

Imagine a min f15 with 2 of these bad bois. Basically the proposed super sonic knat for india… WHERE THE HELL IS MY FOLAND KNAT GAIJIN?

74 cm is the inlet/fan diameter of the EJ200. There is no exact value about the diameter overall as it was never stated anywhere. The closest the EJ200 gets to another engine is the F414 (79 cm inlet/fan diameter) and the Snecma M88 (69 cm inlet/fan diameter) as it sits exactly inbetween.

The F110, F119 and F135 have nearly all the same outside diameter, but the fan inlet is substantial bigger. Rough numbers:

  • F110
    • Inlet: 91 cm
    • Overall: 118 cm
  • F119
    • Inlet: 97 cm
    • Overall: 122 cm
  • F135
    • Inlet: 109 cm
    • Overall: 117 cm

So I would assume you could theoretically fit the F119 or F135 to an F-16 but you would have to redesign the whole air inlet and air guidance inside the plane including the engine attachement points to account for the bigger fan inlet.

My personal highlight would be a Gripen E with the EJ230 or another further developement of it as it’s smaller and lighter than the currently used F414 and has more thrust. With TVC it would be a damn neat plane.

Ngl, that looks quite sick :D

Ok that looks like a stealth F-111 and I’m here for it

Well since we’re going down this particular rabbit hole. What happens when you remix an Avro Vulcan, with a Typhoon and some added Jaguar.

The BAE Vultyphooguar. Sourced from the same reliable reference material as the KH-38…

No intakes, and 4 engines.

It absorbs intake air via osmosis - dur!

Although - got to say - I do rather like the 1980s RAF camo…

Assuming those are quad EJ200s - they’d be an absolute nightmare to work on in that configuration - they (and the gearbox) get filled with oil during after flight servicing…. From fill points at the bottom/underside of the jet

Considering how AJAX has gone - put it into production immediately!
