Yeah, I just wondered if it was factor. could try increasing it and seeing what happens but I thought I recalled a bug reprot for this previously and I was right
Guys, do you have any advice on the usage of SPICE 250? I found them to be rather useless recently, due to pantsir spam and general spaa population. I’d much rather just drop a couple of Paveways at mach jesus and get going.
playing against russia, I usually have to face a mi28nm, while having 2 su30s in the sky and some BUK’s and panstirs all at the same time, I think ill just stop playing ground rb
Honestly i would use Paveways as decoys for the SPICEs, i did a similar tactic with a friends F-16I and GBU-39’s and most pantsirs couldn’t get through the GBU’s before the spices got out of their radar scan zone or they ignored the GBU-39’s not knowing there were SPICE in them. Its not very efficient but its rather effective.
I use Brimstones, launching them from like 15km at their spawn, then I pop up from a different angle and release spice. Release speed limit is rather disappointing though and they’re so slow and also tend to not kill rusian tanks as well. Mixed feelings so far.
I tried AGM-65D/SPICE2000 combo on F15I and it works like a magic, sadly EFT doesn’t carry those SPICE versions which is interesting considering JAS39E can carry 1000 version as well.
and just got completely screwed by the radar switching to IRST.
Locked a headon target with ACM, went to fire AMRAAM, nothing. Couldnt fire, by the time I realised why (it had auto-swapped to IRST). I was in a too poor a position to do anything.
Normally you can shoot when you initially have a radar lock and it automatically switch to IRST.
Unless, you have a radar lock that switch to IRST, then lose lock, and then relock. Then it does not work. For example if your IRST picks up flares and instantly relock the plane, you can’t launch
