I suppose we had also better start hoping for an Australian F-35A then, because IIRC the UK wont get the ones we ordered until the 2030s. Which is after Germany starts getting theirs.
F35 must be boring gameplay. Eurofighter definitely more fun
I hope they don’t plan to skip over the missile thrust part, they can’t just model it as a long burn and call it a day…
IRIS-T and Meteor on the Euro, count me in :)))
The RAF/RN have 41 F35Bs right now? and we will be getting As by the end of 2026 for their nuclear capability.
Yes, we do. But in War Thunder the F-35Bs are going to be pants compared to other F-35 versions, so I hope for an F-35A ASAP
The only F-35s we’re due to get in 2026 are the final 7 F-35Bs, to complete the first order of 48.
There isn’t a production time frame for the second order of 27 aircraft that will include the 12 F-35As yet, beyond an aim for first delivery before 2030 and completed delivery by 2033.
The BUK 3M is basically an S-300 with how it’s modelled is it not?
I just don’t think Gaijin will model BVRAAMs correctly :(
We can hover and be immune to Radar guided missiles 😆
I don’t think we’ll get Meteor tbh, C8(D3)/PL-15/77M are way more likely as the next-gen ARH AAM instead, since they’re working on dual-pulse. But even then it’s weird because the C8/D3 doesn’t actually feature a dual pulse motor so it’s kinda left in the dust.
I mean what else can come for European fighters other than their ramjet meteor missile for their r77m/aim-260/pl-15 equivalent?
Germany use the C8 and we could probably also get Ds So we could get that. Though yes, if thsoe are added and they dont add Meteor it would be stupid.
But im personally hoping ASRAAM and IRIS-T come first
That’s the thing, C8/D3 wouldn’t be as good as R-77M and PL-15 because it’s not a dual pulse missile.
The first iterations used the same motor as C5 and with F3R it got a bit more fuel but i don’t think it’s enough to compensate, it would literally be slightly better than C5.
I think we’ll just have to endure honestly or they do a gaijin and give every Aim-120 compatible carrier 260
We should get Meteor if those are added. If they dont… its BS.
Though with the current map sizes and assuming that seekers arent improved… Not a lot is gunna change. Even with Meteor and its 100km LSZ… you probably arent going to be firing that often past 20-30km like you already do with C5s.
I’m really curious how the meta will shift because of the dual pulse nature of the new AAMs, i’d imagine the second pulse would fire either when the missiles own seeker locks on or at a preset range, would make 40+ km shots possible and viable
What does this mean
If im not mistaken, what it means is that the missile has 2 motors. 1 will fire on launch, the other later during flight to recover speed or something
It’s not that it has 2 motors but it can fire twice, the propellant is segmented in such a way that it can be ignited on command, in theory you can have more than 2 pulses, but 2 is most common in AAM.
Not to be confused with what the IRIS and ASRAAM use which is propellant gradients to achieve different thrust curves with time.
It appears there is a bug where I cannot maintain the data link despite the target being displayed on the radar scope. Is this just my imagination?
The presence or absence of DL is displayed as “o+’ ‘’”,as shown in the image below. If the DL is disconnected, it is displayed as “o”.

I prefer BVR gameplay, so I spend a lot of time looking at the radar scope. I often feel that even enemies being tracked in TWS ESA have their data link disconnected for some reason and are displayed as “o”. Should I report this issue?
If proof is actually needed, since TWSESA doesn’t support server replays, you have to constantly run OBS, generate massive recording data, and play the game.

these get funnier every time i check them
