But that’s a spice…

I think it went for a barrel? lol
I mean, we know gaijin right? And we remember how they “reworked” guided munition right?
My guess is that instead of center mass of your tank it now aims for the center mass of a random module’s hitbox.

Eh close enough, i haven’t played with spice yet, just been using Penguino’s

2.53.0.17 → 2.53.0.18

CAPTOR-E ECRS Mk1 (Eurofighter (P4E) [DEU]), CAPTOR-E ECRS Mk2 (F-2000A (P4E), Typhoon F.G.R. Mk. 4 (P4E)), ES-05 (JAS 39E): no longer fast TWS (?)

I’ll look forward to it a little.

it sees like esa radars no longer keep track of targets outside of scan zone

From last night on ECRS MK2;

That issue will probably get fixed soon too, right? I’m glad the fixes are coming quickly this time since the update dropped early in the week. Last time it was on the weekend, so it took a while for the radar fix.

Good radar. The issue where enemies disappear without notching still exists, but it’s quite infrequent.

exactly what I meant. was spading sm2 and noticed that

My CAPTOR-E is performing almost ideally.

talking about SM2, at which distance Irbis-E can engage targets? (Exemple: Su-30MKM has max range of 200km, but can engage at ~90km)
i dont have ussr tree to test

am i just stupid or do i understand the paper wrong?

as far is i can tell the image is matching with the captor-E mk1 radar currently ingame, but the mk2 has more range to lock ,behind, it (also ingame)

Normal tws

headon tws

basically around 150km is weapons-grade lock

What image? What range? What are you talking about?

Not on my end. Been having plenty (far too many) tracks outside the scan region.

Rather unique feeling to have a radar that’s too good to the extent that getting the right target is a challenge.

Yup. definitely works outside the region.

i am talking about the fov that the radar has. And the image i am talking about is in the message

from what i gather of other discussions the mk.1 is talking about the red point and the mk.2 is talking about the pink one.

Afaik gaijin model the radar area as an arc rather than having diminishing strength like depicted in the diagram.

That’s very unlikely. Maybe around 10s at or above Mach 5, and then residual heat.
Or it’d have a range greater to an Aim120D if it where able to maintain 30s of Mach5+ with less than 10s of burn time

Thats kinda meh when compared to British Captor-E in game, it has roughly 185km, being a smaller radar
I wonder if these values relate to real life ones
