Until EF gets at least 2 more spice racks - grippy is the best GRB fighter. I don’t even know if it’s that much worse than EF in ARB…
Its like 2nd-3rd best CAS after SU-30SM and Rafale (imo) and in air? Yeah it is worse than Typhoon - less missiles, worse flight performance.
they already nerfed it a bit
Due to their own bad modelling btw. It got nothing to do with real life capability.

I cant imagine the Gripen would use a loadout without AMRAAMS.
It should be able to take belly SPICE with one centerline AIM-120 but obv its not modelled in game since the jet is still in WIP stage

A quad rack of SPICE 250 weighs like 4 times more than a triple rack of brimstones
A safer claim would be every pylon where a double rack of Pw IV can be, but even then the full rack weighs 520kg which is pretty close to the 495kg of the Gbu-48 that can go on all 6 wing ordonnance pylons.
But the outer wing ordonnance pylon was never shown in renders with the Spice rack so it might be another consideration other than weight, probably physical size, a double Pw IV rack doesn’t physically fit if placed near another one on the outer ordonnance pylon, might be the same with the SQR of Spice.
Actually nvm the SQR is thinner than a full Brimstone Rack, so space wouldn’t be a problem even on the outer pylon.

This is all conjecture tho, i don’t expect gaijin to give it more than 8, theres a report in so we could get 20 but i expect it to be rejected.

Anyone else finding Aim-9M IRCCM barely working at all at the moment, even in rear-aspect. Had a few times where the missile notably turned towards the flare when fired in rear-aspect

from what i heard ESA radars are bugged and the guidance of some missiles
You don’t need tgp to use spice 250 btw, you can cue them with the IRST which has the same zoom and gen2 thermals so
