Is it not just because to scan the outer areas it has to move the swash plate? Thats why its not being scanned

Like say you first make the plate move to the right, detect and track the target, then move it to the middle to scan. Wouldn’t it move the plate every so often to update the scan on that first tracked target?
Damn, now the interface is working, its possible to actually judge the radar and its awesome. No fighting or waiting for it to lock, it just… does…

Typhoon is not meta right now 6 120s and 2 9ms. However having the extra 120s will help. But as the person points out 120s are really easy to dodge and then when you get too close all we have is the gun as the 9M wont pull the G the MICA/MAGIC 2 or R-73 will.

The new PPI scope also looks pretty awesome. I usually stick to the B-Scope, but I can see this one potentially being useful for situational awareness. Main problem is the colour of the targets seems quite faint against the background, also it’s harder to see the target’s vector. Also I wish we still had a key bind to toggle scope type, rather than it being a setting you have to go into a menu for (no idea why they removed that key bind).

What are you smoking this time? By far the second best plane at top tier is not meta? It’s not a Rafale, but the EFT still requires very little effort to do well in.

Su-30SM is more meta and has better missiles, better Radar
Typhoons fm is massively superior.
But it’s payload is currently weak and it’s Radar is difficult to use
With an extra 2 120s and new Radar Typhoon will close the gap on Rafale.
Yeah exactly so instead of one stupidly powerful jet we will have 2 super powerful jets, while the overwhelming majority of the other nations will still be even further behind lol.
Two doubts
1 - What is B-Scope?
2 - IRL, if an AMRAAM (or any ARH expect these ultra modern ones) activates its onboard radar but the target notch it while the fighter that launched it still locking it with its own radar, it will be guided by the fighter’s radar?
B-scope is essentially presentinng the information from a top down or side on perspective
C-Scope is providing a PoV from the radar
Im not sure, but I doubt DL just stopped working when it went active. But this seems to be an intentional decision by the devs to balance them

Unless it has a knock on effect at lower alts too, the max ceiling for the EFT I think is 55k ft or about 17ish km.
Im rarely above 30k ft (10km) for more than a few seconds, usually prefering to be about 25k ft
