Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 2)

Of course they are even ground mains are against it because it would make aircraft stronger in air modes

it was fixed so it has the same gimbal limits as on other planes

its had it’s gimble limit doubled 30-60.
It should have been removed in the Kh-38MT mode and then you could justify the gimble buff as you need to use a laser to guide it now.

it isnt a buff, the gimbal was ±60° on every other plane besides the Su-30
it is a fix not a buff

It’s a fix that the most OP ground attack missile in game didn’t need. Was Kh-38 failing to score kills with it’s limited gimble?

You know what would have been a “fun” fix replacing Brimstone 1 for Brimstone 2 (Wouldn’t be a buff because the in game Typhoon never used Brimstone 1…it would have been a fix

I understand what you are saying.

that is a completly different weapon and the weapon itself didnt get buffed bc it had the same exact gimbal limits on the Su-25SM3 and Su-34

it is funny how you are trying to twist my statment by making up an completly unequivalent example

No it would be a fix

Brimstone 1 is inaccurate it’s incorrect it was never used. Don’t change the name and buff the stats and that would be a fix?

I’m happy for the constant buffs everyone else gets to enjoy. I see our pretend Kh-38 also has GNSS now as well so it’s even more accurate smoking and moving probably wont even deter it now

they didnt add a completly new weapon they, changed it so it like on the other platforms

but keep the mental gymnastics up

Just usual double standards.

the gimbal limits is not a double standart
it is like saying the AGM-65 on the F-15E should have lower gimbal limits than on the F-16C because it is a better CAS plane

and the gnss is a result of the recently found brochure, which was only found bc of the Kh-38 thread so if you want to complain about that complain to that threads OP

Ron it’s fine, you are correct it should have been fixed.

GNSS found in a brochure, did that brochure have any details on the IR seeker of the KH-38MT…Of course it didn’t and instead of removing it they buff the missile.

This is my issue. It seems everyone else can submit a bug report and Gaijin jump on it action it right away…Other nations well their reports just sit for years.

Do not bring up the T-10 fm manual again please i’m well aware of that debacle

it did have details on the IR seeker

damn a 2 year old bug report on a russian plane that wasnt acted on

i dont need to, there are enough examples for bug reports that are a few years old, for every nation

Velocity vector is a little less pressing, more of a luxury when you compare some changes that actually impact how the aircraft flies.

That is also the smallest snip it you could have taken, do you have the brochure?

So is the new aim-120s not coming to the EFs? Only the F-15 and F-18?

This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.

Can y’all go talk about this in the su-27 thread or something instead of clogging up the eurobomber thread

I’m tired of arguing this system may have an IR seeker but we all know for a fact it can not do what it does in game.

I also do not know the date that was published we know in 2009 they published a brochure we know after that they removed the 38MTE as a variant. It was all listed in that thread Gaijin shut down.

Anyway take your win

That was a brochure from the 2024 zuhai air show

That is new information.

Do you believe it can do what it does in game in the real world? Track a tank from 30km away and somehow keep that moving target within it’s seeker field?

Myself and many others feel like ASSM and Kh-38 get all the benefits of proven systems like AGM-65 and Brimstone without actually being able to definitively prove it can track and hit a moving target.

We have video feeds of Brimstone hitting a truck moving 70kph and have AGM-65 hitting moving targets we have no footage of ASSM or Kh-38MTE doing those things. And further more the brochure also doesn’t list it as a possibility.

Anyway least we can put to bed that it doesn’t exist so that’s progress
