Where can I find this ?
From what’s been said in the thread, unless I misunderstood. I’m not the professional when it comes to the EFT
Would the Three store configuration be what carries the Brimstone for the UK Typhoons?
I wonder if it’s currently UAI certified integration as that may also bridge to the GBU-39, -53 and AGM-187A, or if it’s planned for the future.
It’s known the SPEAR 3 is.
No the Brimstone Triple launcher is just that, it does however look similar to the L3Harris SPEAR Triple Launcher and or the L3Harris CWL (Common Weapons Launcher) which we have in game with twin PW4 on it, funny enough its called SPEAR launcher in the files.
But yeah all three wing stations have MIL STD 1760 connections as PW4 requires that and it’s available on all those pylons.
So what you’re saying is 24 spice 250s…
Would be better to have the spice250 over the brimstones we have in game currently
Might be only limited to 16 spice250s because the landing gear might be in the way where the pylons in front of it are located.
Can we expect a AESA eurofighter by the end of this year?
Unlikely
Hopefully, but we’ll have to wait and see. The question to be honest is whether we’ll see the Gripen NG/E this year.
Because the moment that is added, any and all excuses for not adding AESA to the Typhoon just falls apart as it has a similar radar on a gimball and the Gripen is already overdue by 10 months at this point.
and denying the Typhoon ESA, when they explcitly said everyone is getting ESA would be BS
Nup, although AESA was tested and probably in use on some German EFs but no solid proof yet, so the best bet is we will get AESA on EFs after Germany officially receive thier T4s which should be delivered in the first quarter of 2026.
Why is that relevant?
First and foremost, Kuwait and Qatar Typhoons have operated CAPTOR-E for several years now.
And there is definitive proof that ECRS Mk2 has been fitted to a Typhoon FGR4.
it would be insane to assume that the Germans also didnt conduct actual airframe trials before putting the ECRS Mk1 into production with deliveries I beleive expected soon
Denying AESA for Typhoons because “its only been trialed on the nations that are actually in game” is the weakest possible argument ever.
The T2 in-game is fully compatible (backed up with primary docs) the radar is actually fitted and in service and the nations specifically in game have got test aircraft fitted with the radar.
A hard requirement for “has to be in-service” is nonsense given the Rafale, KH-38MT, Double rack R-77/R-77-1. etc etc.
Sure I can maybe see a new Typhoon added with it, but hoenstly, Unless it also comes with ASRAAM and Meteors. It just seems like bloat for the sake of bloat and given we 've skipped the T1 Typhoons. They can be added to fill the 14.0/14.3 role with M-Scan.
But doesnt mean we have to wait until later half of next year, to get a capability several nations have had for over a year now
Bc they can take it as excuse and say it’s not operational with any ingame country yet (which ofc won’t make lots of sense then), so we need something solid.
That’s Mk.0, but idk how will it be different from Mk.1 or to 2 in game.
Well even with proof, or not if they want to give us AESA they could have done that since the introduction of the EFs by just simply pointing out that the IPA7 was used to test it, and that’s enough proof of compatibility to put it on other eurofighter, same with AMK it should be possible to add it to the German EF since IPA7 was testing with it, but you don’t see that happening.
So it’s all up to them, ain’t nothing we can do.
I expect there to be no difference between the mk0 and the Mk2. With the Mk1 maybe having 10 degrees less gimball… If they can be botehred to model any difference at all.
Its alreayd probably gunna be a C&P of another AESA radar already in game or be identical to the Gripen Es radar if added.
Maybe. CAPTOR-M would be fine if they could be bothered to model it and we werent facing CAPTOR-E level radars at the same BR.
I was expecting AESAs to come largely to all at the same time. Not to a few really early and others super late
SPICE 250 can go on BRU-61?
Honestly rather then aesa, i would be looking for some kind of fnf armament rather
Anything for a crumb of fnfussy
This talk of an AESA Eurofighter has me curious:
-
Let’s imagine an AESA Eurofighter is added (and for the sake of argument CAPTOR-E works well / is not a buggy mess): do people in this thread think it will be top dog, or would you still perceive the Rafale to be better overall? Let’s assume the Rafale remains unchanged, as does the performance of all current weapons on both aircraft.
-
As a follow up question: let’s imagine an AESA Eurofighter is added along with ASRAAM / IRIS-T (i.e. AIM-9M is no longer a problem), while the Rafale received MICA IR. Again the flight performance of both aircraft and the performance of existing weapons is unchanged (we’ll imagine MICA IR basically being the current MICA EM, but with an IR seeker and a bit more drag). Which aircraft do you think would be better then?
