Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 2)

I’d be fine with this if it also added the appropriate wing loading and mass adjustment of yes.

I’m about 95% certain they guessed

Wonder why they have no fox 3’s and ones running a TGP?

  1. Idk
  2. For good visual identification and maybe IRST, but idk about the second since EF has PIRATE

Maybe HMD thermal vision

Probably just allows for monitoring of the baltic sea/black sea and kaliningrad let alone just checking border in general around Belarus

Probably not to push tensions higher, the stated goal of Eastern Sentry is to shoot down russian drones entering NATO airspace, which is already fairly provocative (Less provocative than flying explosive drones into NATO I should add), by using kit specialised in the role shows restraint etc. Kinder than what I would have done but that’s neither here nor there.

ROE probably requires a firm visual ID before engagement, you see it from time to time. Also probably inspecting the boarder

Drones is the current concern. Regarding the Litening V, its used in its ISTAR capacity and Air to Air modes.

Not really. NATO has been flying fully armed over Eastern Europe since before the conflict even kicked off.

Litening 5 is normally carried because it has full colour video, and a datalink to send live footage to ground stations during the intercept.
So there’s less reliance of the pilot verbally relaying information about what they see, or having to use a handheld camera and bring the photos/video back like they did in the old days to gather information on exactly which aircraft are “visiting”.

spice 250/er bombs for eurofighter // Gaijin.net // Issues

was looking at this report, is eurofighter eligible for spice 250 to be in game?

gaijin sometimes adds ordinance to aircraft that (could) carry the ordinance in question even if the nation that operates the aircraft doesn’t use said ordinance. a good example is the pgms for the tornados (as far as i know the UK never had PGMs)

I dont think they did in the end.

Another example is Germany and Italy getting Paveway IVs (though I think Italy is actually buying them soon)

I think the EFT is indeed eligible for Spice 250 as well, following Gaijin’s policies. The EFT in the current implemented standard did at least tried the bombs so there’s no reason to refuse it. But then, the decision of adding it always fells in the hands of gaijin’s devs, so we will have to see.
In many cases, I understands some decisions to not add all secondary weapons - for example the Rafale and EFT I believe misse a significant amount of GBU ordinances but they already have similar armements (in the AASM and Paveways). On the other hand, the EFT doesn’t have anything similar to Spice 250 so I think there’s a better argument for it’s introduction compared to those few missing GBUs

Do we know which stations have BRU-61 / -55 or -57 / MML (Multiple Munitions Launcher) compatibility?
