With the Leviathans Update introducing Imaging Infrared (IIR) anti-aircraft missiles in the form of IRIS-T and AIM-9X it is time for the Gaijin to revert the ahistorical nerfs that they made to BOL countermeasures and restore their effectiveness to at least pre-nerf levels. poll Wait what on earth are BOL countermeasures? BOL is a type of countermeasures (chaff / flare) dispenser which fits into the rear of a missile launch rail, allowing a large number of countermeasures to be carried in space…

Having said this, we always analyze feedback and will change things if it improves progression through the game, improves balance, or makes gameplay more interesting and enjoyable. This is as long as the changes don’t contradict the principles of realism we want to maintain in the game, however.

Especially with this quote in mind, the current situation is deeply frustrating

Fix the EF radar.
Its not fit for purpose. This is ment to be a 4.5 gen jet.

Why does the radar track missiles over targets every time in every game?

Hopefully we can get AESA sooner rather than later. Maybe by the time they re-add the CAPTOR-M via the Typhoon F2 it will be functional

Depends if it’s retrofit or P4E standard so for new builds onwards.

In which case they’d have to stop buying incredible planes like F-35 that can’t use European weapons and have no standoff armament and are primarily subsonic and do something stupid like buy a European, proven, high performance, super cruise capable, high payload, adaptable airframe as a new build that comes by default with a variety of systems and weapons options not promised for 10 years from now ;)

BOL is modelled as we have said based on how the developers have concluded it performed with the available information. Two suggestion reports are present on it, but as these are suggestions there is no ETA. It depends on conclusive materials.
