This is on striker II correct?

Did you even read what he wrote?

Striker I. Striker II uses almost all new symbology.

Today I tried low fov GMTI brimstone run and killed a teammate. To say he was shocked is a little bit of understatement. He was behind the bush so his nametag kinda blended in. I tried to break a lock in the last moment, but radar swiped again and relocked him lol. But it has a potential… Maybe…
Also am I the only one noticing that brimstones are much harder to use against helicopters now? Sometimes they just refuse to fly in them. Maybe I’m just imagining things… I’m just running full pw-IV right now, they’re much more comfortable to use.

No I remember watching a video years ago that states the limits of striker is full colour support (hence why striker II subsequently offers many more colours), I wasn’t aware Striker I could display anything other than green and yellow. I clearly meant the colour and symbology rather than the actual battle-space projection

Edit: also the guy in the photo is Paul smith who does a lot of the demonstrations for the future of typhoon, a lot of which was Striker II which added to my confusion

By the way, can Typhoon carry same bomblet pod Tornado can?

Ive seen a lot of people comment that they cant lcok onto helis with the Tpod. Ive straight up not used the Typhoon in GRB in about 6+ months. So I cant comment either way.

No. It cant carry JP233 (at least i’ve never seen it mentioned, but I do doubt it). should be able to carry BL755 CBUs though iirc.

Spoiler

Also they could improve the RWR design in game

Should it have an X when empty instead of a 0?
(Or potentially just means its not selected, but that would be very weird.)

Also, a mention of “black flares” at 12:40, what’s that about?

I believe there is a report for this already. Ive also seen it displayed on the HMD before, but I Think that was Striker II not Striker I

Nice. im not sure how much confirmation we had on this

I just wish we could use the in-cockpit MFDs in place of the generic RWR/Radar screens in ARB.

At least be able to have the RWR pulses also displayed on the HUD and HMD

yeah, its not even something they havent modeled before. If nothing else GR7/T10 have it

Oh nice. Then yeah, Striker 1 buffs here we come :P

In the F/A-18Cs the RWR is displayed as an Circle, the direction its comming from is Open + you have an indicator where you are currently looking

It took them 9 months to include the IFF symbology in the HMD and the radar width symbology in the radar MFD. I hope it doesn’t take another 9 months to include this

We’d need the RWR actually able to create trackfiles (or at the minimum conclude a location instead of a “general direction” that gets ruined by manoeuvring) and be stabilised to the horizon instead of just functioning as a circle relative to the jet for it to even approach displaying on the HMD…

Back to that, Gaijin broke it with Tusk Force…

That is correct it should be an X when empty, it still shows the ammount of your armament even when not selected
