Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 2)

Though there is 1 fact that will make this whole NCTR discussion totally irrelevant. If the Rafale is the only aircraft without an NCTR, then you will always know that is the Rafale. Heck, wouldnt be surprised if the Typhoon would identify the Rafale as a Rafale because of that fact.

Adding RWR and NCTR sensor fusion would be a great addition, IRST and Radar fusion will probably happen in 3 years.

Generally combining the sensors we have wherever possible would be brilliant. It can be quite annoying having two separate screens for RWR and radar, let alone the MAW just having nothing in the cockpit.

Are we back at it again with the self designated terms of stealth and super cruise

Sure that Flat plate AESA with no tilt helps with the RCS along with the not recessed belly pylons

I wouldn’t lol, like 50 messages just got deleted because of this exact argument.

Rightfully so, the general stealth characteristics of both planes have nothing to do with both having hidden engines lol

The radar is tilted 4 degrees down.

Saw that coming.

Anyways, is the LWR only having 4 sectors accurate? It feels a bit weird that it’s not any more precise.

I’ve made comprehensive posts about the LWS in the past :)

None of these hypothetical posts come up when I search for LWS in this or the previous eurofighter topic, which is why I asked.

Again, struggling to see how you deduce this outcome, if the Typhoon has a smaller RCS, also has RAM coating and both Radars use ISAR, the Typhoon should be even more difficult to identify than Rafale.

And as proven many many times before, you simply haunt this forum to occasionally slate the Typhoon and tell us how it’s inferior compared to other aircraft .

So to clear up any confusion, this is the Typhoon forum, not Rafale, we know for a fact CAPTOR-M NCTR can identify Rafale. If you want to add anything further, let’s go to the Rafale forum to discuss the Rafale

Yes, the resolution of the SAR image actually exceeds the Resolution the MFD can display in most cases

Like the earlier posts I made (valid ones, about the Eurofighter) they were deleted when people didn’t like what they saw. Unless there is something positive to be said about the Eurofighter here, it isn’t allowed.

This says a lot more about the display.

Playing devil’s advocate isn’t necessary, we know this farce isn’t true. The Eurofighter does not have the RCS of a sparrow.

No they were deleted because they’re horrifically off topic lmfao

No it says plenty about the radar I think.

Good thing no other gen4 has that either. Except maybe the 18E. It might get close.

No, seems to say what I expected about the display.

Only the block 3 and that’s not quite like the rafale… Both ahead of our topic.

1024x1024 is an excellent display resolution what? The F-16C is 768x768, for reference.

Feel free to @ me in the rafale forum with actual evidence for your claims. I’m interested in where you’re pulling these mysterious numbers from.

Especially given that this is the 1990s/early 2000s we are talking about as well. God knows what the new MFD resolution will be. Especially when combined with Striker II

The big single display? yeah that’s far beyond what I can find publically lol.

Probably reasonable to assume at least 2K resolution.
