Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 2)

at sea level a max speed of 3600kph is slightly below mach3
image

which the Kh-31A also has listed as its max speed
but a lower max range of 70km compared to the 110km listed for the 31P

An even better question: Why is it carried by planes at BR 11.0 to 11.3 (Su-39 and MiG-27K AFAIK) while the ALARM isn’t allowed to be below 12.0?

Can they go at least one patch without letting themselves slip?

Thanks. This is inconsistent with actual figures for the MA-31 at sea level, maybe they put 3600 as top speed for the A since it shares the airframe with the p.

Also, what Mach calculator are you using? The ones I found both give about 3.75 for 3980kmh

Are you proposing the soviets not be defacto the best nation in-game at everything?

That I beleive is a bannable offence!!!

Yeah after seeing this I concluded that bug reporting kh31 with ma31 stuff isn’t the best idea which is why I abandoned that bug report

You put the 3960 in Calibrated airspeed when it should’ve gone in TAS. There’s your issue

Read above, it was user error. Calibrated is just IAS adjusted for some slight errors in the pitot tube and the differences in local airspeed dependent on where the tube is located, he put 3600kmh and 3960 as its IAS basically

It’s a lot more in line with MA-31 data now. The difference between older Kh-31 and MA-31 top speed at altitude is ~.1 Mach which can be explained by a cold day and rounding.

The only thing that is weird now is the avg speed listed (2630kmh/mach 2.15), the sea skimmer speed shown in the MA-31 antiship trajectory graphic (Mach 2.5) and the max sea level speed stated at Mach 2.7 don’t really add up.

Idk if Mach 2.5 is the top speed under regular conditions and 2.7 is under ideal circumstances or if 2.5 is the average speed during a specific part of the flight

Is there a report out for APKWS addition yet?

Has already been done internally

Genuine question, does anyone care to use Q and E for rudder control? for actual live match maneuver

Stall manoeuvres. Wouldn’t really put myself into that situation in typhoon but almost all the time at prop br and early jets.

All the time

I’m a bit worry for Euro-canard rudders
I tempted to remove Q,E rudder for new key bind to toggle radar functions :)
