Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 2)

Nice work. ASRAAM is 88.91 kg total mass (so 51.91 kg after burnout using Gaijin’s numbers), which would presumably make it a bit quicker than CAMM.

I can feel this picture. Feel how ±100 in VERTICAL angles is gonna be insane QOL step up.

Something still isnt right with the Aim-120C5 LSZs

How can the LSZ be larger than the rMax?

Also happens with any missile really at high altitude

This wasnt that high, the target was actually low and I was only at about 10k ft.

But seems to happen with C5s more than any other, in fact, I dont recall ever seeing it on the Aim-120B on any platform

Yep, i tried it first with ASRAAM data, but i changed because idk how different will be the drag coefficient. I looked into AIM-9C vs 9D, R-24R vs 24T, R-27T vs 27R and didnt find a standard, 9C vs 9D had no difference in the coefficient, but 27R vs 27T had a big one…

Could it be the minimum range mark (for whatever reason), and the max range one is just so far off that it didnt fit within HUD?

I mean I dont know for sure, but that would explain a lot.
I would check on 148km scope scale to verify.

no you can see that at the very bottom of the range scale

No definetly the rMax, you can see the rMin at the bottom. Get it all the time. The LSZ being bigger than the rMax

Oh, that…

Yeah thats messed up.

i think thats due to gaijin not actively calculating that stuff on the go, but rather have a pre made value sheet that the game refrences

I’ve had this for a while, this was a while ago but I somehow dont think the Aim-120C5 has a bigger LSZ than a METEOR

Probably, its why Skyflash STs dont have LSZ yet on the F3. Its done on a missile by missile basis, but its pretty clear that something is very wrong with C5s

because both seekers are round

because one is round and one is pointy (like ASRAAM and CAMM)

What Are the scan sizes of TWS for captor e?

copy pasted from the Captor-M knowing gaijin

looks like there’s a 4 bar 200 degree scan at least (simulation tho)

Yes, but 27R is 1,9 while 27T is 2,425; i cant just throw +0,525 of CX on CAMM spec

i mean to be fair, they probably just adjust drag for each missile to meet its launch specifications (as we have launch data for both r-27r and t, and by simply adjust drag they can make it meet those launch conditions). while asraam, i doubt we have launch ranges/conditions for it

Boys, I suggest you start collecting all the docs you can for the dev server.
