Nah, su-30 is fine in dogfights due to R-73 and R-77-1. F-18 doesn’t have such luxury.

I want ASRAAM or IRIS-T right now. Just imagine the funny of passing su-30/F-18 on full speed and leaving them dogfighting a missile you just pulled out of your ass, while you zoom away.

to get back on topic, 9G on EF is indeed rough. If true that means the overload on this plane is almost as trash as manpads

Doing Brimstone runs are awful now since you can no longer dodge Panstir missiles with max 9g overload

This is why (at least in GSB) I generally just run PW4s as my main A2G weapon and just drop them from 30-40k ft. I CBA to deal with the low alt brimstone faffing you have to do otherwise.

Maybe running a few Brimstones just for dealing with helis

F-18 has the 3rd best airframe for subsonic flight and accelerates as fast as the fast bois to mach 1.
People are underestimating the F-18, and I suspect it’s cause people aren’t managing their energy correctly as it can pull 11Gs with ease.

Either way, Typhoon remains strongest.

Maps are probably also too small. Aircraft like the EFT and F-15E can get high and fast quicker.

If maps were bigger with a little transit time. F-18 would be able to rain fire down onto targets.

Maps need a good doubling in size if not more imo. 126x126km already feels cramped with current missiles.

just straight up does not work in battles

They’ve felt a little cramped with the Tornado F3 firing Skyslugs.

We’ve needed at least 180x180 maps for the last 2 years.

I think we are well in truly in need of at least 256x256 maps these days

Well there are two meta playstyles right now: Look down, which is what the F-15C/E, J-11B, and Typhoons have access to more than anyone else.
And look-up which is what everyone does particularly well.

Both are equally threatening from my experience as well as the evidence shown in video form so far.

No one’s fighting at 12,000 meters for even 80x80km combat zones to be missile concerning.

I was noticing the otehr day, it was warning me about my own missiles that I fired

i got one missile warning and it disappeared after like a millisec even thogh the missile was not gone

otherwise just nothing

I think for top tier thatd be more than reasonable.

I hope its because they are working on a load of bigger maps that will drop all at once. Might just be expanded versions of current maps with 1 or 2 new maps or a full set of 5 or so new big maps. But that is probably pure copium/hopium and in reality. They are just being lazy

tbh i think we need bigger maps and forced deferred spawns.
everyone spawning in one place is just bad

but even if you spread the spawns ppl would still just fly to the center :/

I have a strong personal belief that 99% of the problems with ARH could be fixed with that “simple” change in ARB and maybe even see ARH get lowered a little. A few aircraft still feel too high and are there purely because they happen to have ARH

More likely they’re working on AI overhaul so that they can make the current maps playable with maximum filler AI.
