This is my solution to this problem
All radar controls under your thumb.
2 - target acquisition
3 - target selection
4 - missile activation
5 - АСМ
6 - operating mode selection (pulse, doppler, TWS, HMD)
8 - radar sector change
9 - radar range
12 - radar on/off
Unfortunately i have a broken thumb and index finger on my left hand and on my right its my ring finger. Xbox has some controllers for people with limited functions and I’ve got one thats pretty nice. Too bad my control set up took me like 2 hours to make a new list of binds. This event came at the worst time lol.

You’ve just discovered the “ghost track” haha. The radar is mechanically tracking the target but the original track file generated at detection isn’t getting updated.
After 8 seconds when TWS “timeOut” has expired typically it will instantly create the new track file for the target it is mechanically tracking. As that’s the first target it sees. Funny enough if you have a single target your scan pattern and you get a “ghost track” you can actually just fire, it will function exactly the same as if it was tracking normally. You just lose the information from the track file, but the radar and missile are getting the right information, just not displayed to you correctly.

can the typhoons ECM jam radar and incoming missiles ? or just radar lock ?
Any radar system, how effectivity who knows, but there is nothing special about the seeker on an AMRAAM vs any other PD radar.
i was just questioning because i for some reason remember that most NATO jets ECMs cant jam incoming radar missiles but only the radar lock of the enemy mothership it self
I can’t see why? You jam radars, be they on missiles, aircraft or ground system, there is no distinction between them other than typically missiles have smaller less powerful radars.
