No sensor fusion on EFT?
Radar, PIRATE, DASS and MIDS all fused into a weapon systems air picture.

How would it be in WT? 1 MFD screen would display all the info merged?

The message would be fine if it wasn’t for the profanity… Just respect the rules.

Each engaged threat here has a missile impact timer, a letter threat ID all displayed over a GPS map with IRST and Radar display overlayed.

Ohhhh, So it would be an timer for send Missiles to the enemy or for Incoming missiles as the one report says allready?

that looks sick ngl

Dont worry, its Gaijin dont exspect it in the next 5 years xD

Speaking of the MFD’s, not sure if you saw my reply a few days back but there seems to be some missing features on the EFT’s. I’ve also heard (though havent checked) that the EFT’s MFD RWR doesnt display the same targets as the in-game green RWR, which might explain why even EFT’s and Rafales show up as “?” for me in sim :/

Those 2 displays specifically look like radar B-scope and PA format from the snapshot shown the other day by another forum member.

This comes from the fact the 3rd person RWR and Cockpit RWR use an diffrent file for the Labels, in case for Cockpit the Label for EF2K/RFL arent set up

id honestly kinda just hope that if were gonna get anything, its gonna be target identification in TWS cuz if i remember the typhoon was able to identify what its locking from the radar receiving signature. Would definitely help in ground RB where youd be able to tell if what youre locking at 18km is an actual plane or if its chaff or missile

Bit of a massive issue for me since in sim I only use the MFD’s, since in VR the in-game RWR both blocks my vision in a direction and requires me to turn my head to look at it.

I also just much prefer the EFT’s DASS Format MFD over the in-game RWR.

then lets try again
he’s just making STUFF up. again.

it would show 1 target to the pilot, whether its MIDS only, MIDS + Radar, Radar only, Radar + IR, or whatever. it just shows 1 target and you can engage said target

It’s called non cooperative target recognition, and many radars can do it.

Fixed the Pics

even more hopeful that its going to arrive ingame. Being forced to guess if what im looking at is Su34 or Kh38 from 15km distance while seeing S1 on RWR is not incredible.

I mean, the display gunjob posted (the one on the right atleast) looks like it could be implemented in-game by overlaying radar returns and radar azimuth over an in-game map, which would actually be really nice as it would allow for visualization of the threats exact location and therefore planning around what geographical features they have to their disposal.

It would be really nice to have, as atm, I only find 2 of the MFD displays are of any use on the EFT, those being the radar B-scope display, and the DASS format. Third screen is a waste atm, since;

  • The map doesnt show the proper features to be of much use and changes scale with altitude
  • HUD display is pointless (not even sure why its an MFD display in-game at all…)
  • TGP cant be controlled properly from in cockpit, so the TGP display is largely pointless anyways
  • Stores display, though cool looking, offers no additional info to the EFT, particularly since the EFT has the wonderful feature of showing the selected weapon and remaining number of said weapons in the HUD and HMD

More functional MFD, such as radar profile, radar C-scope, and radar azimuth over map (if the map was given the gridlines as seen in-gamer and if the screen scaled with the radar range) would be wonderful imo.
