as far as I am aware, the only meaningful difference is the extra 5 seconds of burn time giving it extra range, that would mean it had more energy after doing a hard turn, but not sure if its got any more HOBS per-say.
As for when I expect to see them. On something like the Tornado F3 Late I could see it in a relatively timely manner, but on the Typhoon, no chance. We are having to fight tooth and nail just for relatively insigificant things when it comes to balance like ePaveway IIs/EGBU-24s, tinted HUD or Radar fixes and the community seems largely against the Typhoon get much in the way of buffs/fixes.
A notably large buff like Aim-120C5 stands no chance until everyone else gets an equivalent, but the US mains have already started begging for it for the F-15C and F-18C, so maybe it will come sooner rather than later
I am fully aware of that… but doing a 180 turn at a high alt going around 1.7ish mach would get me to lose an incredible amount speed compared to other aircrafts which I find it weird when the turn radius is not as tight as before. But you know, not a engine expert so yeah,
eurofighter dose lose more speed when holding s compared to rafale, but it is also doing about 1deg/s more than the rafale. if you were to do a more thorough test my guess would be they are about equal.
Maybe, there is also the thrust recovery time which seems substantially greater in the Typhoon from what others have said before on this matter and in my own personal experience, it feels rather sluggish to begin accelerating at times.
