Eurofighter Typhoon - Germany's Best Fighter Jet

I heavily suspect you say this while comparing the information you’ve read to the in-game performance of current fighters. As we know, the Russian stuff is heavily underperforming. The real competitors to the Typhoon are not even in the game yet.

i don’t think a flanker with TVC is gonna to compete

Thats compared to F-18E, Rafale, SU-35 i’d imagine

As well as F-16C, F-15C etc etc, SU-35 and modernized MIG-29’s is estimated performance of those airframes, but everything NATO fields the Typhoon beats.

Well then I already can see suffering with the Aim 9L stock grind

How so

We should at least get aim-9 l/i-1. It should work with the pylons

That’s why they gave 2A7HU to Italy

You look really silly saying this

I don’t understand how is this related with the efa thread as the 2a7Hu is a tank

Ouchh… lets just pray that they are Li’s.

Most likely, germany doesnt differentiate between 9l and 9li. For ease we just say 9l or even only sidewinder. Besides that the video of a random pilot isnt accepted as source either way

ah
whoops
Ausrüstung und Technik: Die AIM-9L/I (bundeswehr.de)
accidentally spilled this here

Like i said xD they dont realy care. In the same picture both aim 9l and aim 9li get named.
No consistency

UK does the same, for the most part all our 9L modifications are referred to 9L in short hand. Only manual I have with as an example, that mentions the Dechirped 9L explicitly is the Sea Harrier FA2 manual.

Spoiler

Other than that you’ll only find references to Dechirped or Genetic C (IRCCM modification) in reports but not manuals.

if we’re gonna be that nit-picky then the Meteor is just a missile/rocket and not an air-to-air one…

Jup, its just the ease of use.
Specifiyng the variant turns to a mouthful

say, anyone know if the Mk 36 Mod 10EUR is smokeless?
grafik

Edit, it should be the same as the 9M pre M-8 model, so this could prove the 9Li (or 9Li/1) having a smokeless motor, no?
