Idk if anyone else has had this but i’ve repeatedly had an issue where Fakour 90 isn’t detected at all by my RWR, and it works normally for everything else. It’s really annoying cause i can’t see fakour at all, and because of that most of my deaths in the eft have been either overspeed/overG wing rips or invisible fakour
Eh, tbf the Viggens radar was bug for years where it would lock chaff that was deployed behind an aircraft coming straight at you. I find most of the nonsensical shenanigans are from gaijin rushing to get things out.
The last time I was in the Typhoon in SB. I was hit a few times by radar guided weapons and nothing, not a single beep.
once was an Aim-120 fired from a Typhoon and hte other was an R-27ER. I was thinking about posting, but decided my sample size was too small and I was tired so I might have missed it.
But I think we need to keep an eye out on the RWR now you’ve said that. I think the RWR may be… rather unwell
Yeah, had that in the Tornado F3 for about 3 ish months iirc
For me it was always fakour 90 and nothing else. And it only happend three times since that’s all i’ve encountered IRAF so far, so i can’t submit anything either
From my experience it prefers to lock any and every missile in its field of view. Ignoring much bigger planes closer to it. Last match I wanted to lock an F-15E less than 10 km away from me. What does it do? Locks the missile over 15 kilometres behind the F-15E only a few degrees to the right of it multiple times in a row. Needless to say I died to an AIM-120B from the F-15E a second after I finally got a lock on it. And god forbid your (hard and soft locked) target fires missiles, the lock switches instantly to the missiles it fired.
Seems like this radar is “too good” even detecting every missile in its field of view and giving it the exact same priority as an enemy plane.
Smart players like me launch them where they top down players, most vehicles dont have a full 360 rwr, hell just testing the BR if the iriaf yesterday since people were saying it was impossible to play now and yet i still killed 3 EFT’s and a F15E. Fakours are very fun and insanely trolly
Yep, that sounds about right to me
Clearly the radar knew what it wanted to lock and that was more important than your intended target
I wouldnt be surprised if they just didnt code F-90s into the Typhoons radar because it wasnt within BR range and forgot to update it now it is ::D
Yes but i’ve almost exclusively had this experience with the eurofighter, which DOES have full coverage for RWR
is that… even possible?
Not even an EFT problem though, they just occasionally dont ping my Gripen, F15E, or Su-27 radar but i know im locked because they explode next to me
its not even occasionally, they NEVER show ping, track or launch on my eft
Hm, id need to test with a friend. Ive been avoiding any serious air matches since i broke a few fingers so i swapped back from my keyboard to my controller and am just grinding with Su24 with gunpods. Im close to both my German and British EFT but i just have been focusing Russia since im a bit behind with their gear at the moment.
With the almighty spaghetti… Anything is possible
The usual for warthunder
Lowkey obnoxious that the game stops providing IFF info once a targets locked…
Tell me about it… Drives me nuts. I often find myself breaking lock, jsut to double check the IFF before firing (especially if I dont entirely trust the radar like in the FGR2) and 95% of the time I can reacquire the lock, but once in a while. I cant find the target again.
To be fair, for an amount of time the chaff is going toward you…
War Thunder is the same game that got the TOG 2’s gun correct while everyone else didn’t.
Maybe it is a bug, maybe it’s something.
I don’t know what to think personally.
