Eurofighter has better FM for any kind of fight, although they both have similar sustained turn rate at low or high speed with a slight advantage to the EF.
Now before merging the J-10 is better since the PL-12 pull very good and can be used for HOBS at close range almost like a R77/mica. And the PL-5cii (similar to magic 2) also work better at short range in case the EF merges with too much speed and fumbles the first turn.
One major drawback for dogfighting with the J-10 is the gun, slow velocity and low ammo. That has to be taken in consideration too.
Now if the EF merges and uses full controls to fight like a flanker or mirage2k, the J-10 can’t compete because it doesn’t respond very well at slow speeds with full controls.
But still extremely limited in ammo compared to a few at top tier and whilst it has a better muzzle velocity, I quite often find its lower rate of fire means targets can sometimes fly through the rounds unscathed.
So pros and cons to both, but I wouldnt rely upon the typhoon to gun fight unless I had no choice
If you actually math it out, its trigger time is above most of its competitors barring the F-15’s which are more outliers:
EFT BK-27: 1700rpm, 150 rounds, 5.3 sec trigger time
F-16 M61: 6000rpm, 512 rounds, 5.1 sec trigger time
Su-27SM GSh-30-1: 1800rpm, 150 rounds, 5 sec trigger time
J-10A GSh-23-2: 3396rpm, 200 rounds, 3.53 sec firing time
F-15C/E M61: 6000rpm, 940 rounds, 9.4 sec trigger time
Rafale M791: 2500rpm, 125 rounds, 3 sec trigger time
Gripen Akan M/85: 1700rpm, 120 rounds, 4.24 sec trigger time.
The lower RPM could cause some issues, particularly since gaijin thinks its funny to give it practice rounds and large numbers of APHE shells, but 1700rpm is still 28.33 rps, gonna be hard to squeeze between those, but the high muzzle velocity (best in tier iirc) should make it easy to hit targets, and the rounds having more mass should allow them to retain that velocity better than an M61.
Here is my post and followed by the data from kensai, you could easily have just asked. I’ve explained this to you a multitude of times and you claim to understand the subject but what was said earlier was contradictory and nonsensical. It made it clear you were just throwing buzzwords related to the topic together in a word jam.
Show me an example?
No, they do not need to be experts to understand what is written. It is just denial that something may be worse than they expected. This is proven by the fact that they do a complete 180 when it’s a buff being discussed.
You immediately said stuff that doesn’t make sense why would I continue analyzing it further. Quote yourself and try to explain it if you think it isn’t nonsense.
The number of stages is not important, we know the pressure and temperature limits and what matters in the end is exhaust velocity. The engine is of similar size to its peers and has a larger bypass but not considerably enhanced pressure ratios. Thus, exhaust velocity will be lower and so will the dynamic dry thrust rating. Obviously that is detrimental to supercruise performance.
Man i really hope they don’t nerf the eurofigher further, i thought after its thrust nerfs it would be much worse but it’s still godlike + the maneuvrability is insane, you can whip this jet around like crazy.
Radar needs massive buffs
CMs are underperforming notably
Probably still missing some dry thrust performance, especially at alt with its supercruise too low. But yeah, FM looks pretty solid at the moment
Im hoping most things are fixed by the time i get around to playing it. Its also still missing those GBU-31’s which is annoying, but the radar looks and sounds absolutely horrendous atm, so that def takes priority imo.
