Eurofighter Typhoon - Germany's Best Fighter Jet

Did You just ignore whatever I just said? And btw this wasn’t the picture I was talking about previously.
Also the fact that they integrated is not just supported by MBDA, but also by the EFA consortium.

It’s worth acknowledging that the JAGM Family (AGM-179A / JAGM-MR / -187A pending configuration) leverages a significant amount of existing AGM-114 infrastructure and that there pathways to refurbish / remanufacture older AURs to the more advanced configurations are entirely possible, so the cost quoted may not reflect the the actual expense of a new missile depending on the option selected. And effectively serves as a backwards compatible technical refresh for aging inventories.

And so that is likely where the significantly lower costs are coming from, as they are likely not to be new builds, but refurbishing missiles pulled from the existing German stock of Hellfires. Where Brimstone would reuse fewer parts, though there may still be some commonality with at least the baseline configuration that doesn’t need the newer longer range motor due to Brimstones being an offshoot of the Hellfire to some degree.

Germany doesn’t have a stock of Hellfires though? They have never had them in the first place.

i cant go into detail here
but its not integrated.
its planned to be but it isnt yet. (thats also what mbda’s website says: “going to be integrated”, not “is integrated”)

Yea that and that It from 2017 (the brochure and the efa consortium site stated otherwise). And btw here the picture of the other EFA with Marte equipped with test flight markings.

My mistake, was thinking of the French Tiger HAD, that has -114K’s, not the German ones. But that wouldn’t necessarily stop them from receiving remanufactured missiles, in place of newly built ones at reduced expense.

Ehh, this is straying pretty far from the topic at hand and not entirely accurate

hmm, can it be retrofit to older batches?

for these i’d say T2+ can get them. T1 is kinda out of the question for anyhing due to its outdated avionics.
T2 should be fine. (same as with the captor-e… well apart from the mk2 which is so heavy that youd need to significantly modify the structure of the jet to fit it)

I really hope its getting GBUs and MAWS : /

and ofc some cool skins :P

We’ll probably get as many cool skins for the EF as we’ve gotten for the F-4F KWS (none)

happens to most DOA vehicles…

Yup. Poor j11a doesn’t have any either.

It is especially insulting in the case of the KWS imo. It has had no shortage of special Liveries and commemorative Paintschemes in real life, was and still is endeared by many people and yet not a single one of the special schemes has found it’s way into the game. Bit of a kick in the nuts

Just saying licensing.
The rights for those skins often need to be bought
