I cant imagine this would do anything? I dont think theres anything but the fastest missiles that could have a doppler shift of over 1500m/s in-game, seeing as thats already a closing speed of over M4.0. Pushing it from 1500m/s to 2500m/s, is going from M4.4 to M7.3 roughly. Unless im misunderstanding something, I kind of feel like this is more of a change in the code just to pretend theyre doing something rather than something that will change something for the better…
didnt help at all, tested it
it makes the f-14 radar useable in all aspect tho
Haha
I mean, probably not. Its already been stated that the stuff provided by western nations for drones or anti-drone work tends to be way more expensive, and typically inferior to boot. Tossing a guidance kit onto an unguided 70mm rocket to make it a guided 70mm rocket just to fire it from a multimilliom dollar plane to be used against drones is kind of insanity unless you dont have the ability to launch drones where you are.
Objectively speaking, just about any drone that has enough performance to be outside of the scope of purpose built anti-drone drones is likely closer to the cost of an actual AAM anyways, and the APKWS for example (closest analogue to this guidance kit) already costs ~$20k per shot, while most likely having vastly inferior performance (shorter range, lower maneuvrability) to boot.
Im not saying putting the 70mm guided rockets on a jet isnt a worthwhile idea, it does objectively lower munitions cost for high performance jets being used to strike low cost threats, but in just about any case, a dedicate anti-drone drone would likely do the job cheaper and better, with the guided rockets mostly just being a stopgap until widespread adoption (or straight up just a money making scheme).
You can easily mass produce dedicated anti-drone drones using a 3D printer, some off the shelf components, a little explosive, and a cheap microcontroller. Most expensive part is the camera, and even then, you’re likely well below the $20k per guidance kit (not even counting the rocket) from somwthing like an APKWS, and the APKWS ismt giving you any notable performance advantage either. Guided 70mm rockets are just cheaper than dedicated AAM’s for cheap threats.
Buddy, you do realise that this change is not live?
my game updated so i assumed
Current live is .31, this change comes with .32 so we have to wait but it should result in beeing able to lock missiles coming towards you with Mach Jesus xD
my concern is that all the radars no matter HRPF or MPRF have the same speed gate which is concerning imo
That change he posted strictly stated only the EFT. Why are checking the F-14?
Because it changed for pretty much most modern radars, including the F-14 radar.
Gaijin’s gone back to the Puma armor scheme strat and has decided to get a 3y/o to punch in random numbers for all the radars simultaneously now, brilliant.
The full datamine has a load of radars getting the same change
Fair enough I haven’t got to see the full datamine yet only what was posted.
Still as was mentioned earlier has .32 update made it to the live server?
Nope
Thank you
After i have some fight with EFT in Gripen most of the time after the merge post nerf i don’t even break sweat to kill it
One might not take my words to it by maybe watch this to understand (post nerf eft)
Aww man I had an F-16 turn inside me after a merge at Mach and knew I was dead there was nothing I could do to reverse it.
I dont have the insane acceleration anymore, I dont have that high AOA high ITR it was so easy for the Viper :(
That Typhoon is just wallowing in the air.
To put .it into perspective.
An SU27SM with 12 A2A missiles and 40% fuel will have the same sustained turn rate, better ITR as a eurofighter with the same effective fuel load and 6 A2A missiles.
The Su27SM will also accelerate much faster in a turn and have much much more power in a vertical fight.
The eurofighter will also break its wings easily at 12.5g.
The only advantage the eurofighter has is top speed and acceleration.
