Really think you had something there didn’t you?
Yes? This is an example of Gaijin forasking “historical accuracy” (which is bad anyhow), for the sake of balance. Simple idea, and quite effective, but not many comprahend it.

Another day, another radar change, this one isn’t up yet, datamine 0.21, game is 0.18.
Maybe this time the radar will feel better.
not much was changed
might detect targets better now
You know what. Looking at this video causes a phrase “Ah, the other plane mode”, said by certain someone, to ring into my ears.
Overall disgusting to the other team, but satisfying.
One particular thing have picked my attention. Is that when he was turning at 1100km/h - it was actually pulling same Gs as EFSB does at the same speed. Fascinating.
because tvc assists your turns even at high speeds
So how are you liking the su30 right now?
it is okay at best,
the fm is okay, but not as good as people are/were making it out to be
ontop of being nearly uncontrollable at slow speeds (in full real/ simulator)
cobra button is a gimmick that is getting you killed most of the time
it is okay for bvr but it isnt that good as a launch platform, so it is still getting outranged by the f-15 horde and Eurofighters
Radar is really nice but sometimes just losses lock to something in the notch without using chaff (i think a few radars have that issue atm tho)
seems good for ground but cant really comment on that (iam not a ground player)
and it has a completely messed up 3D model
Community Bug Reporting System
they basically stiched it togeter from the other flanker variants
the skins are inaccurate as well and have numbers all over them ontop of being as dirty if not more dirty than the EF
all in all the most competitive top tier option for russia in the last 6 months to a year
so russian mains are finnaly able to compete
(you can see that by all the players to complain about blance bc the r-77-1 is slightly better than the aim-120)
Looks like the plane was sitting in a barnyard for decades
Brimstones have a completely different playstyle to FnF, you just have to get up close and personal on the battlefield, which is less than ideal, but it still doable (and fun) if you are skilled enough. I can usually manage 6 kills before I get down (or the game ends because brimstones are slow), the only downside is that it’s very overwhelming to fly, and I end up exhausted after a few games.
How successful you were recently?
God damn it, the whole radar on this thing sucks so much. Right now - I EYEBALL A DAMN SU-30, THE SIZE OF A BASKETBALL FIELD. ACM - NO LOCK, HMD - NO LOCK, NARROW SCAN - NO SIGNATURE, MEDIUM SCAN - NO SIGNATURE. For god’s sake, why whoever did this mess sucks at his job? Why when I try to lock a plane in a head on with HMD it locks a missile he launches instead of him? Do I really need it? The whole 20x TWS contacts being spamraams. Why I need to track them? There’s absolutely no use for that right now, because guess what, I don’t have 10 spare missiles to shoot down incoming threats. And the drift, I don’t even want to talk about it. It drifts with a speed of damn superman in random direction every ping. Could you work less on thinking about how to sell a copy-paste pile of pixels for 60 bucks and more on making the game being functional? Jet is unusable in low alt boogeyman style, BARELY working in BVR and guess what, there’s no other playstyle left for EFT.
Valid crash out, but I agree.
Radars overall (not just the EFT) seem to be very buggy and inconsistent. Pair that with an already inconsistent and buggy radar, and you get a bad experience.
Like man, HMD doesn’t work. That happened like 2 hours ago. Su-30 coming at me, I lock him with HMD, it switches to MEM and falls through the ground into the 4th dimension. I’m unable to launch Fox-3, as well as I’m unable to launch Fox-2 because it automatically slaves to lock. So I’m just flying past him, waving and smiling “Oi, the weather is noice today innit, m8”
My guess: The code values the doppler return much higher than the actual RCS of the target. The missile going 1000 m/s into your direction generates a stronger doppler return than the 600 m/s plane, even if the plane has a RCS of 25 m² while the missile has like 0,1 m². Could be a side effect of the “fix” that pulse-doppler radars sometimes locked onto chaff.
I don’t know how many times I died anymore because of the radar constantly locking onto a missile 5 km behind a F-15/Su-27/30/MiG-29 while said plane was 10 km in front of me (so the missile being 15 km away from you). “Funny” thing though: In ACM the radar locks onto missiles way outside of the ACM lock on scope repeatedly, making you miss the most easy shots to a stray missile or even ghost targets.
I’m not the best pilot in the world, I mostly play GRB, after the FM nerf I can say that I wasn’t so successful… But overall I can score a few ground kills 3-4 and maybe 2 air-to-air frags before going down on average.
Yea, that’s kinda the point. At least for me. With current flight model Brimstones just won’t cut it.
And it feels janky to fly, with or without AoA limiter.
