Well, if you notice, i mentioned radar being screwed by bug that affects all radars but given typhoons most useful 60*11 scan which takes whopping ±8 seconds to refresh first bar, its most affected and it sucks. If they fix that bug. Top bar will be refreshed each ±3,5 seconds.
theyd freak out if US got the F-15EX or QA, or even a 2005 spec F-22
even an upgraded F-15E, or 1990 YF-22 or YF-23 would make them quite unhappy

Its “fixed already” issue is the refresh of top/bottom bar takes a tad bit above 8 seconds and tracks are kept for 8 seconds.
This is caused by widespread bug which was reported months ago and not fixed. It was allegedly pushed to devs again so lets pray they fix it.
You want fix, start pressure about this bug to be fixed no matter what.

The Rafale still has the capability to challenge the Eurofighter Typhoon if it is designed and maintained as intended(it’s close but not accurate but what can we do it’s a game). It’s no secret that real-life tests have shown the Rafale outperforming the Eurofighter in terms of omnirole performance, while being on par in air superiority(win for high alt for EFT and low to mid for rafale) — especially with the addition of the Meteor missile.

The problem is that as I mentionned the answer provided by the devs to deny the PIRATE IRST is the EXACT justification you’ve used to add multiple ahistorical features to the French Rafale.
You are not consistantly applying the rules, you are giving very VERY clear preferential treatment to the French in this case.

assuming no new gen IR missiles, the EX wouldnt be too bad, cant say the same about F-22. if anything can out EW the rafale, its growlers (ofc), the F-22, and the F-35 (also ofc)
Thats a dubious claim with how horrid the CAPTOR-M radar is in-game despite gaijins insistence on it being “correct”
On one hand it’s obvious that there is a lack of consistency here, it’s also not fair to pin it all on poor Smin, he has had to deal with mobs of angry players from pretty much every section of the community and i don’t blame him for some of the lack of discrepancy in statements made

Im not pinning it on smin, I hope he gets that, this is very clearly gaijins fault, but smin is the only one I can talk to, and smin is the one providing gaijins ruling on these aircrafts.
I know this is not “smins statement” he does not decide what planes get what why, but gaijin is VERY blatantly providing preferential treatment to the french here. As I stated, they are actually using the EXACT justification used to deny the German EFT’s IRST to give the French Rafale an HMD and additional MICA’s.

If they fix this bug, it will be really good given volume of scan in 3-3,5 seconds.
Evem then, the same bug affects all other radars, fixing the bug would just make the other radars proportionally better than they are now as well.
CAPTOR-M would go from being barely useable garbage to a usable radar while stuff like the RBE2-AA on the Rafale would become tantamount to an omnicient gods eye.
The addition of an AESA radar when everyone else but the russians are running old M-scan radars was idiotic in the first place. There was no reason to add the second newest french fighter jet (F3R) with an AESA when there were PESA Rafales that couldve been added, and said F3R is now effecfively an F4.1 standard, making it a jet from ~2023-2024 iirc?

You mean the Swiss evaluation during which the EFT was still limited to just LGBUs wheras Rafale had already been integrated with AASM? (it was a T2 B8 jet if I remember correctly). Nowdays I’d wager a Eurofighter is better equipped for Omnirole than the Rafale, with SPEAR 3, Brimstones, LGBUs, and the Cruise Missiles.

Why would Rafale win mid/low?
Would it though? Iirc, EF, Harrier and Gripens get largest volume. If they fix it, refresh time wont be an issue and you will get pretty big scan area unlike other radars. F-15 gets 2bar in same azimuth for example. And thats ONLY thing that can rival EF up high.
I mean the Thales RDY is already one of the best Radars in game and has been for a good while now, only really topped by the Strike eagle radar and the new 4.5 radars are taking it’s crown once fixed
