Wanna link me to some of these?

I really had to search for the name as I couldn’t remember it since yesterday. They’re called “Conformal Antenna” or “Structural integrated array”: A Broadband Conformal Phased Array Antenna on Spherical Surface.

Also here: Low-Profiled Wideband Dual-Polarized Conformal Antenna Array

The neat part about these types of antennas is that the part which is currently the radome becomes the antenna surface while the room under the radome can be used for the radar electronics. So you can effectively integrate radar antennas into wing surfaces and edges without needing empty room as radomes because the antennas don’t have to be flat surfaces fit into the structure.

Do they have any mentions of radar reflectivity increase and mitigation measures there?
I’m curious if they figured a way to crate a one-way wave absorbent/reflector material.
(it better not be any funky metamaterial)

I don’t know why, but it hunk this question probably dwelled well into highly classified. I don’t think anybody would want their adversaries to know if they managed to develop this kind of material

Well we certainly know that russia didn’t. Or else it would be all over anywhere you could possibly look.
