Aint a thing irl. Arrows on the DASS display are for jamming apparently. Makes sense though when you consider the HUD/HMD shows the target position in real time, would be pointless clutter on the MFD
Less talking about Typhoon/aircraft specific HMDs more the third person, war thunder one.
Why not just a three-dimensional threat-map like most space sims use? Your plane is in the middle of a volume and every threat or object appears in the volume around you. So you would instantly know which direction and distance by a single look.
