According to German Aviator magazine Flug Revue AMK is going live.
“Eurofighter AMK im Flug”
So first Luftwaffe test jets flying around with it. No montages etc…
They also write AGM-88E capability will be included as well as new radar ECRS Mk1 AESA (?).
Die Ergebnisse waren beeindruckend: Der maximale Auftrieb stieg um 25 Prozent, die Rollraten verdoppelten sich, und die Anstellwinkel erhöhten sich um 45 Prozent.
Sounds the AMK is a massive leap forward. It would give German EFs an edge over everything else.
For now it is Ger only, it seems. Nowhere to be seen for Typhoons in GB/IT. Maybe they’re still considering. I don’t find anything that its planned, while Ger already has some live aircraft fyling with it at Manching Air Base.
Italy and Britain have yet to decide what will or will not be part of their P4E upgrades. It is impossible to say either way at this time.
It is not a German Aircraft, its a Eurofighter Consortium aircraft that has been flown by every operator nation.
And it fails to acknowledge the fact its a huge upgrade over the other 2 EFTs, they wont even give Britain its advantage of having PW4s as it might cause an imbalance without Germany and Italy also getting them, why do you expect Germany and Germany alone to get it?
It would be akin to giving Britian ASRAAM and Meteors but leaving Germany and Italy with Aim-9M and Aim-120C5s
If something is compatible with one airframe all can get them.
For example kh38mte on non Russian su-30s or brimstones on German tornado.
Though sometimes gaijin doesn’t follow this rule, for example the British eurofighter is missing a specific laser guided/gnss bomb that the other euros get, I forgot the name of it tho
