AMK has been tested by Italy and Britain, was funded by the consortium not Germany and is a part of P4E.
It is NOT a small upgrade. The difference in 10° on the Mk1 is minute compared to the buff AMK would give. It would be akin to saying that Britain should get MMW spear-3s to compensate for the fact we don’t get GBU-48s.
So no, Germany should not get AMK to compensate and AMK is not a Germany exclusive mod like LWS was for Britain.
The only way AMK would be fair is if Britain and Italy got ASRAAM/IRIS-T to compensate

I can’t find any other footage. Seems 07 exclusively. Luftwaffe even allocated funding for the AMK. For other countries I didn’t find any sources.
I still think If GB+IT Typhoons get stuff that far ahead like the MK02 radar, Ger should also get something. I mean MK02 is far from beeing mounted on any service EF and a certain level of fairness should be mandatory. EF models with different strenghts and weaknesses seem to be interesting as well.
AMK’s improved performance should still apply heavily in BVR no? Shorter time to notch, general reaction time and better responsiveness from the jet.

mostly player dependent, while i wont deny more AOA but that also means more speed bleed. imagine having MiG-29 FM lol
and apparently the same gimball and AESA used on MK0 and MK2 somehow cannot direct the radar beam to 120 degrees

The diffrence is that the German ECRS Mk 1 radar is in fact rolling out now. While ofc some interested pple made sure IT and GB get something better, which ist still like 4-5 years until planned introduction.
So, if two get future tech … why shouldn’t the German EF? Its ill thought…one nation gets a real service jet. Two others enjoy the time machine thing?

Germany decided to go for the inferior MK1 with a phased upgrade plan. Britain and Italy is waiting for the MK2.
So there is no surprise that Germany is going to be slightly weaker.
AMK is a major upgrade that would make the German Typhoon dominate, the only way that would be fair is if Germany didn’t get the Mk1 and was left with CAPTOR-M.
Besides, they are getting PIRATE and already have Brimstones, both of which should be removed from the German Typhoon if you want.
Im not entirely sure if that tracks. It looks more like the Luftwaffe prefers the Eurofighter EK + AREXIS for T5+ with MK1 combo over the EW capabilities MK2 adds over MK1

Yes, because they are going for a phased upgrade plan for the MK1 instead of their original plan of getting some Mk2s

IRST was tested on the 07 jet and some others. Brims + AMK as well. So we should get it.
There are just two ways. Either all get their latest equipment or all get thing from the future. It can’t be that just GB + IT will be 5 years ahead.
Sometimes I’d like to read internal mails, just to understand how these things are decided behind closed doors. From my POV its so absolutely unfair. How can they just handle it like this? There are also German upgrade plans for the Radar. Can we get something planned as well?
But that plan does not automatically mean that MK1s upgraded capabilities follow the MK2s way

So Germany can get PIRATE, MK1 and brimstones because of test aircraft but Britain cant get MK2 because test aircraft?
No, it’s likely that Mk1 will always be a little weaker in terms of EW but that won’t matter because if the AREXIS
Yeah that was the point im making before. I dont think Germany chose MK1 due to timelines but because they already planned with AREXIS and generally dedicated EFT EKs in mind
