Eurofighter Typhoon - Germany's Best Fighter Jet (Part 2)

Brother tell that to the couple of people telling us to just accept the downgraded radar while they are feasting on Spice, LDIRCM kh38mts and whatnot

If we have to wait until a weapons system is in mass production, the British and Italian aircraft should lose their MK2 radar. As long as the system is not yet being rolled out.

Do anyone know what that could means in numbers? More Range, more Scanspeed and/or less susceptible to interference from electronic warfare?

Lmao they think there is no AESA contract with UK eurofighters that’s hilarious 😂🤣🤣 meanwhile fgr4 zk335 with a mk2 installed and leonardo making the radars

They’re saying that there’s no contract for serial production for MK2 yet and since that comment is at least 5 months old thats probably correct

Ufff, aren’t you able to understand simple examples or quotes?

*edit The comment say, there is no contract for mass production. That should be correct for the current time, there is only a research/development contract as far as i know.

I would like to swear, but the rules don’t allow it. Are you really arguing about whose Eurofighter is better, instead of admitting that Gaijin is a money-hungry company with double standards in favour of (everyone knows :/)?
In this update, we’ll get a fighter with 12 missiles, on par with the AIM-120B, with a 240-degree field of view!
And now there’s a discussion about simply replacing the radar, which will give ±10° of view. This is worse than a joke, it’s reality…

R-77-1s are much better than 120Bs

Yes because this is a Eurofighter thread and not an ”su35 but with an extra personell“ thread

I don´t know if it is better to put pressure now or after the update, also wait for those answers on the youtube video hahaha, if gaijin didn´t take on count the previous data, without new one and without pressure they are going to do nothing.

Germany and Switzerland have both signed the F-35 contract and built factories; it’s just a matter of time before they acquire them.

Yes, but not necesarily by the time they get added

Plus F-35 is gonna be trash in the game

There seems to be real evidence that only Germany tested and ordered the AMK kit for now. Its even shown on the German 07 test plane. Two groups of new strakes and improved Flaps. Results were stunning. Improved AOA by 45%, roll rates by 100%. Improved turn radius and much better low speed handling. Around 40 test missions were already flown.

Since its tested on a German jet, Ger EF should get it as rank IV mod. Especially since its indeed planned to be fully adopted.

In exchange IT and GB would get that superior radar ECRS Mk2. Testing started some months ago and adoption is planned for 2030.

So all three user nations would get test features which are ahead of current service jets. GB and IT excell in BVR combat with superior radar systems. While Ger has crap radar and excells in maneuverability.

Absolutely fair. Much better than let German EF’s die facedown in the dirt with that meh 90deg +/- radar.

Eh? With sidekick + external pylons its gonna be more than fine.

AMK has been tested by Italy and Britain, was funded by the consortium not Germany and is a part of P4E.

It is NOT a small upgrade. The difference in 10° on the Mk1 is minute compared to the buff AMK would give. It would be akin to saying that Britain should get MMW spear-3s to compensate for the fact we don’t get GBU-48s.

So no, Germany should not get AMK to compensate and AMK is not a Germany exclusive mod like LWS was for Britain.

The only way AMK would be fair is if Britain and Italy got ASRAAM/IRIS-T to compensate

kinda nuked your own foot there bud

ASRAAM and IRIST would negate AMK entirely.
so dont even think about it.

Minute makes a mile though. It’s pretty big, just admit it. From ability to notch and guide to it’s absence.

Both radars can notch and guide though?
