You should also mention that Hensoldt claims "50% higher angular coverage than traditional AESA radars " which is the exact same thing claimed for ECRS Mk0/2:

ECRS Mk0/2

ECRS Mk1

Maybe instead of comparing 50 percent of 70 degrees it’s comparing 50 percent of 60? And that adds up to 90 which lines up with FOV in that brochure

Yeah but that’s the same claim as the Mk0 and Mk2 which have 100 FoV/FoR

Already taken down, with link to previous argument. It is better to try and get direct confirmation from sources.

Maybe Germany was destined to always suffer

Could just try to get the German EFT the ECRS Mk0 at this point, seeing as that downgrade would just be a straight upgrade in this game with how gaijins decided to do things

That… describes things perfectly…

If they use this and give it to all eurofighter, but still wont increase the ecrs mk1 fov I will be greatly disapointed

What has NCTR to do with an FoV?

They probably mean because the primary source is Hensoldt, which only works on the Mk.1, the report should only apply to the Mk.1 (tho I haven’t looked at the EADS paper tbf, could be that it specifies that Mk.2 has the capability as well)

Not sure of the legitimacy, but this article directly says the ECRS MK1 has a Field of regard of 200 degrees, and the radar is mounted at a 30 degree angle.
