Eurofighter Typhoon - Germany's Best Fighter Jet (Part 1)

It’s an arbritary figure that manufacturers use.
You dont want to exceed that limit unless you absolutely need to.

Would you acknowledge then if we are imposing “realistic” G tolerances then we need to cascade that down and to other nations?

ok so not structural limit of failure

The issue this nonsense lets rafale pull 15g+ in game

Rafale has same limits. So can you say that rafale g limit should be nerfed?

I don’t think that’s a question of if, but of when and how soon.

Likely not for long. They’re primarely made of aluminium and titanium (30%, mostly wings). Metal fatigue, propagating vibration etc. etc.
While both EFT and Rafaello are exceeding 70% of airframe being made from composite materials.

Am I here saying Rafale should be topping 15G? I’m talking about Typhoon and its safety limits.

So you saying we should switch to rafale thread to ask you that question?

Exactly there is a exposure limit per G per second.

@Gunjob is the EFT aerodynamically limited to 27° AoA, or is that something Gaijin simply conjured up to nerf it? Cus according to the Austrian Airforce website, the FCS will let the aircraft pull between 30 - 35° AoA.

Whereas currently, in-game, I have not been able to achieve anywhere near that value, the highest AoA I’ve pulled was 26.6° according to WTIRT.

Rafale has the exact same g-limits, yet Eurofighter pulls 6Gs less. This is just straight up bias.

All AOA in game is soft limited, as you approach and then exceed the limit the instructor backs off the controls so you start to lose authority. But its not hard limited.

Instructor prevents exceeding the 12G limit imposed?

Instructor cannot limit via G, it was attempted when F-16 came to the game and then dropped.

Also again there is no 12G FM limit right now, any 12G flat turn can rise to 14-15G with roll.

Gunjob coming out with the HEAT! 🔥🔥🔥

G onset is basicly how fast it can pull those G’s I’m pretty sure. So 15G/s would mean it can pull up to its structural limit of 12G’s in 0.8s.

That is just not true? I’m genuinely so confused how you came to this conclusion

Yeah, he’s spouting nonsense with that. Eurobomber does not break at 12.5gs lol, unless he’s loaded with air to ground with lots of fuel
