the EF has 90kN thrust on each of its engine, in WT the thrust is displayed in kgf. ATM it has around 8100kgf although 90kN is 9177kgf
Typhoon has more thrust than Rafale on dev server.
@Justgun17 Just shy of 8700kgf on full reheat, not 8100.
Now, whether those are correct or not, I’m not a channel losses expert.
All I know is thrust seems accurate; Typhoon has the correct time to climb in its current state.
Best turnfighter in the game. Does a cobra FLIP. “Feels chunky.” Hmmm…
Now, my results are used in a bug report that will likely buff it; and despite that, Typhoon right now is already performing better in airframe performance than everyone else.
yeah the biggest problem now is managing to keep the wings on the plane at high speed as they like to rip quite easily.
That makes sense to me, thanks.
I was REALLY confused for a second there
No? It feels quite nice
I see Nothing obvious that the current can not do
- irl only 1 ton weight diference is but in devstream 1.6
That video has misinformation in it.
Rafale’s total peak thrust is ~203kn as one example.
I’d treat the typhoon cockpit, HUD and HMD as a massive WIP, not even deployed to Britain or Italy yet. But yes, should have both A2A and A2G symbology for the canon as far as I am aware
agreed. they are pretty disappointing.
Definetly room for some polish, I think that feeling comes from the thrust not being quite right and I think the instant turn is still not quite right. But FM is still WIP
That is 20,000 uninstalled. As of right now the EF has the lowest channel loss out of most fighters. The engine thrust is fine.
Whats confusing me about that is that climb tests mostly seem accurate, and the thrust as seen in testing is also accurate, but the T/W at takeoff definitely isn’t the 1.2 ish that it should be given its inability to accelerate or even maintain speed vertically. And thats with only 4 missiles, not typical takeoff loadouts.
The implication being mass or drag are too high, I would assume mass since low speed drag shouldnt be that big of a deal. Has the excessive empty weight that was previously reported been fixed?
Mass is correct on Typhoon. And if drag is incorrect that’d be indicated by supercruise speed and/or sustained turn rate.
There were also bug reports on those, with the ones on turnrate accepted, not sure if thats been adressed. With supercruise M1.4 is already close to what was claimed so not far off in that way. The same sources used and accepted so far also claim vertical acceleration ability so somethings off
Vertical acceleration is effectively correct along with time to climb “brakes to mach 1.5” being notably faster Eurofighter’s claims.
Vertical acceleration cant be effectively correct, seeing how its considerably short of acceleration in a 90 degrees climb. For brakes off to mach 1.5 on the other hand it works fine
From what I have found from airbus twr should be 1.15. But i have no Idea how much the captor-e weights.
