Eurofighter Typhoon (Germany) Dev Thread

Ashamed to see that German Typhoon doesn’t get PIRATE IRST. I am curious whether it is a big difference or not in terms of A2A.

i dont think in air realistic it will make a huge difference, in sim i guess it will. I dont know if the german EF will get better stats then the others bcs of the weight and drag of the additional IRST, but i guess gaijin will not do that

11700 kg is the mass of a 2-seater Eurofighter, and 10.995 is the mass of 1 local aircraft

Curb weight (single seater): 10.995 kg
Curb weight (two-seater) : 11,700 kg

It’s currently 11300 for the Tranche 2.
That site doesn’t specify version either.

My opinions are not present in this reply to you.
If anything I’m seeking new documents that change 11300 being “correct”.

11.000 kg would be correct; Community Bug Reporting System

In many sources I have seen 10.750 kg or 10.995 kg. Do you think we will have 10.995 kg or 11,000 kg?

Will they add the sources you put in the “duplicate” report into the original?

Thats a question for @Gunjob

(I know he is out atm, but when he has time again)

I’ve wondered that, since you can’t add to the original closed one. Seems like they would but its the Snail…

Its probably such a tiny difference in weight and drag that I doubt you would ever notice and in a wvr fight between a typhoon with PIRATE and one without, things like fuel management would have a greater impact on airframe performance

Please don’t tell me gaijin is accepting that as an actual source. 🤣

That site is completely wrong and most likely some eurofighter fan page.

maybe add this?

Static stand thrust != installed thrust.

Are there many credible sources to the contrary? This sites claims match pilot, airforce and manufacturer claims. Theyre in part sourced like that after all

I saw this and its already added to the list

I would take the info from airbus before I take a source that lists this:

Airbus says it's 1.15
