HISTORY
AS 550 Fennec is a very light, maneuverable multirole military helicopter which was designed and built by the Eurocopter Group, it was Based on the AS350 Ecureuil and AS355 Ecureuil 2 helicopters and has received their name after the Fennec Fox. This specific variant, AS550 helicopter coaxial weapons, rockets, torpedoes and various other armament, however i don’t know if Denmark used anything besides ATGM’s on theirs.

The helicopters were acquired by the Royal Danish Air Force in 1990 and entered service from 1991 onwards. Their primary mission was to combat enemy armor and were therefore equipped with Anti Tank Guided Missiles. In 2003, the Royal Danish Air Force took over the Fennec AS550 helicopters, which for a while belonged to Squadron 724 under Helicopter Wing Karup. After many years equipped with TOW missiles, they were then used mostly for observation missions and light transport missions. The helicopter was also used for special missions by both the Royal Danish Army and the police special forces.

The Fennec 550 helicopter was used to support troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan and also supports the European Border Agency (Frontex) operations to protect the EU’s external borders, they also conduct surveillance to monitor smuggling and other crime.

IN GAME
This could be a decent helicopter between 8.0-9.0 in either as a part of the Swedish helicopter tree or as an part of a Danish/Norwegian tech tree. Its a fast, small and mobile helicopter and packs a punch with good missiles.

What? There’s already a Swedish tech tree

He means adding it as a sub tree to the swedish main tree

Ahh. Ty. I’ve picked up some of ur hilarious memes from BEESBURGER’s “fake news”

Didn’t see you mention flares at all but we had them

The fact this hasn’t been in passed to the devs despite 100% of the voters saying yes is criminal

Its Danish and honestly this would be a better 9.3 helicopter for sweden or even a 9.0 helicopter especially since it has flares. The swedish Bo’s sit at the same BR as the German models but without any countermeasures to defend themselves. Just a compression problem. This would be a nice addition

Also the page i showed talks about the pilot using FLIR, so perhaps we also had thermal sights on our Fennec

i thought i had included that earlier, I’ll look over it and fix it!

I may have skipped over it, if so i apologize for making you check

Looks like I’ve missed it, no problem

When i made it i asked around to see if there were any other equipment or weapons used with it, but with no luck, so there are definitely some stuff missing

I like the Eurocopter since it was in one of my favorite movies GoldenEye but they always seem like there not all there like there 90% perfect. A bit heavy for my liking.

I’m always open to more swedish vehicles as long as a.) it’s not unneeded copy paste. b.) it’s going to have no viable way to balance it(why CV90 AMOS is insane to me)
