Engine exhaust amount

This video has the old exhaust system which was quite realistic.
Now, in game, it seems like all the engines have a head gasket leak.

Do you believe this is right? Or should it go back to the old system?

Engine smoke levels:
  • Good as is
  • Reduce it to make it realistic

This is realistic exhaust btw on cold and warm engines:

Where is option

“increase it to make it realistic”?

Yes, the current state where tanks puff smoke like steam engines is ridiculous.

I believe it was done for the benefit of CAS as it makes tanks easier to spot from the air. The majority of map changes are to the benefit of CAS so it fits the strategy they seem to be following.

Kind of like the fact only like 2 maps have actual buildings you can go into but they are microscopic.

Oh it’s realistic to be a WW2 battleship on land?

I think this would overall be an interesting change. Also, turbine engines should be completely smokeless, so I would also like to see that added along side this.

They all used to be like that. But for some reason I don’t recall, gaijin changed it. Probably to nerf speedy light tanks

Now it seems that the tanks are addicted to tobacco, just by not moving they generate a lot of smoke.

It indeed make little sense haha. I see what the other guy said about it being used to help cas, but that’s a bs reason if that’s what gaijin said

There are a lot of things that gaijin does that I don’t make sense of. It seems that in the game all the engines don’t have good combustion. A realistic thing that makes some sense would be that the tanks made the smoke they do when the engine module was not researched, and when researching it they made little smoke, thus giving meaning to the module that is related to the engine review. In stock form the engine has no maintenance so it has poor combustion, and when unlocking the engine module, the engine is checked and working optimally, so it has optimal combustion and does not generate so much smoke from the exhaust.

I think he meant just very little exhaust visible

their words not mine

@Caernarvon02 since your the only one in opposition, why may I ask?

I get that. And that’s why I liked your comment lol

I hope others come to vote on the topic…

Should I call it “thinner and cloudy”?

still waiting for option “increase it to make it realistic”

Increasing the exhaust would make it less realistic. Did you look at any of the videos I posted?

quite the opposite
