I’ve been waiting for a battle to start for about 30 min., and half of that time has had 9-10 players in the lobby. Given that the minimum number of players is 8, why isn’t it starting? Is there some additional factor beyond player count that isn’t noted? Thanks.

It’s like a venn diagram with all the servers selected, and some have the converging sets in, but get counted on both the server sets they are on.
You see it generally when a bunch get a match, and the count drops by 5-8, they may have had one of your servers and another selected, and were counted on your set, but got a match on the other.
Same with when you are waiting, you may all have servers selected, but not enough on the combination you share to actually get a match.
If it makes a difference, I only have one regional server selected. I believe I’m only seeing the players waiting for that region?
You’ll see those who have your server and others in thier selection. Sometimes it’s good to queue on the EU set if you can select it at times like these.
That set do a lot of teamwork and effort to play these modes out a lot.
