So for everyone who has driven the elde, is this also a common occurrence, a slight bump causes you to spin out?
btw the code says that the rb98 lofts…
p sure it doesnt do that irl
I can tell you it lofts twice just like the SLM lol
Datamined EldE changes
elde 98 (Giraffe 1X):
track mass: 1.5 → 1 t
min engine RPM: 800 → 600
max brake force: 220 → 60 kN
added 6 more forward gears
added 1 more reverse gears
max speed: 70.3 → 65.08 km/h
max reverse speed: -9.08 → -10.07 km/h
nothing about the 31.8 tonnes?
Gszabi answered that for me, that is for an AI Elde and isn’t relevant to the playable version, it does only weigh the 9.7t the other weight is irrelevant
So we go 1 kph faster backwards and lose top speed…yay. though its not like you ever hit top speed with the Elde as it caps out at about 58 off road on flat grass. Also unless the trailer gets collision disabled whats gonna happen is you get stuck if you’re on a hill. These changes dont really look good in the slightest if im being honest guess we’ll see
Also the better acceleration is actually going to make this thing worse if you’re going in a straight line. Again the rear will keep pushing you forward like you have a player behind you and lock up your controls till you hit a certain speed then you’ll over turn and spin out.
Made a comparison for gaijins “fix” if you can even call wiping off some of the oil from every other tread a fix
@Smin1080p_WT what is this?
Why in the world is this marked as fixed when its clearly not. Im actually baffled that anyone would have the audacity to look at the wheelchair tank and think that slap of tape is a good enough fix to close the report.
Elde 98 rear clips through ground preventing movement // Issues Community Bug Reporting System
Now Im 100% sure Gaijin is doing this on purpose.
Hey, out of curiosity (and after minimal testing as i don’t have the vehicle unlocked yet) could you try removing the “breaks” modification and test driving it fully upgraded except for the breaks? (don’t forget to select “Current” instead of “Reference” before starting the testdrive). I think that might temporarily help a little as i think the breaks are more powerful than the traction is so when turning the breaking track stops the vehicle more than the driven track drives it forward. It might be better than nothing until they fix it better.
Ill test it when i get home, im out for drinks rn lol, im so done with this vehicle for right now lmao
Its marked as fixed so youre not going to fix it “more”. Or isnt it fixed, you just want the problem out of the way?
A game engine originally meant for aircraft can’t reliably model vehicles? Imagine my shock… Vehicles even working at all in the game is a hack, and it is the reason we will never have regenerative steering or proper transmissions and traction models.
Technically they have fixed what the report was for, the new issue is when turning, not at all times like previously. Now it can actually go up that hill if you drive straight. So probably there needs to be a new report on the issues of turning while driving uphill and/or from standing still.

Breaks dont have any change in performance of turning the vehicle still fights just as hard to turn. Instead breaks will bring the vehicle to a standstill which means you die because you just stopped to turn…
Okay im going back out, got some errands to run hopefully other people will see the bug reports, anyone else please spread them or PM a technical moderator to get them past to the devs to hopefully make this thing somewhat bearable (COPE)
So it cant drive up a slope but not turn, this is how its going to work? Thats it?
Other vehicles like the Churchill Crocodile and the CLAWS (TAD) has got 0 problems climbing hills while turning.
Uhmmmm…actually have you been trying to move the ITO out of any spawn that has a slight incline? A lot of wheeled vehicles in game are modelled so realistic they seem to be only used for driving downhill irl. While stuff with tracks, well, your also struggling because apparently all the tank manufacturers love to grease the tracks of tanks before they are delivered or sth
I never said it’s correct now, i just said that that one specific report was for “climbing hills” (and technically a lot of other things thrown in but you can only report one issue per report). That issue is technically fixed as it now can drive up hills if you drive straight.
There are still issues but each issue needs to be reported separately.
