NATO as a whole uses the same color system. And the US. Keeps things simple in interoperation
Well, if they insist on limiting most nations to sub 15km range SAMs, best we can hope for are the early Umkhonto (IR Block 1) for Britain and SPYDER-SR for Israel. Don’t know what the other nations could get, but it seems like there aren’t many options.
swedens rings are different, blue isnt a ring for practice in the US system, but blue body is
wikipedia puts the spyders range at 40kms with the python 5, sounds a big high to me but if true then no that doesnt fit xD
that SA thing seems to not have a radar though
It doesn’t, already tried suggesting it, sadly needs a whole, not towed vehicle for guidance. Maybe G6-HVM can help
16-25km death bubble on those IR SAMs would be sick. The guidance mode itself is much better than SACLOS we have in the game.
I’ve seen mentions of the early SPYDER-SRs having between 15 and 20km range. Apparently they also used to carry Python 4s at some point.
that seems fine
What will be the maximum speed of this missile though ?
US uses both rings and body colour depending on context. Solid blue body on a missile is a CATM, which has a live seeker but no warhead or motor. But stripes will indicate specific portions that are inert. Ie live motor but no warhead.
I want a radar🥺. I’m tired of having to look at the sky.
mach 2.5, so not great
assuming you mean the IRIS-T SLS
That’s decent if it has a long burning motor.
G6-HVM and ZA-HVM seem very unlikely to be added.
Next best thing would be the Cactus SAM with SAHVs.
za-hvm was going to be added then got removed cus it had a mock turret, is the turret on the G6 the same, if so then yes i agree
Honestly, who cares if it was just a mock-up at this point. We desperately need better SAMs for all nations.
If they refuse to nerf the KH-38MT and Pantsir to match other nations they have to give those nations better equipment.
id still prefer real vehicles
Might be wrong, but acording to the brochure from Rafael, the Spyder AIO with Python 5s has a maximum range of 15 Km so it should be okay (if what the brochure says is true).
i wonder where wikipedia gets its range then cus they say 40
Well, I haven’t looked at the Spyder SR but it should be similar. Either way, 40 Km with an IR missile launched from the ground (with no initial speed) would be too much.
