This sounds more like truth. Sweden owns 18% share of the consortium. Doesn’t stop Gajin to just add it to Sweden and seemingly no one else.
the problem is germany doesnt have a vehicle that could get it while being balanced

It would have to be BR 14.0 in ground for any resemblance of balance.
SLS is going to be on-par with Pantsir IMO, though it’d be nice if there were options more powerful.
It’s French in principle though. They sold it to Finnish army, French produced. Partially at least.
the SLS is on par withe the ItO not the pantsir which is far better still
the SLM would be way better though

The SLM would be blatantly OP, and no the Pantsir is on-par to inferior to SLS due to being SACLOS guided.
the pantsir has 20km range while the SLS has 12,
most cas can outrange the SLS easily
which is my reason for saying the pantsir is better

And then the case is it is half french. If it is operated by Finland, then no one else gets it, even though they are the exact same in capability. I’d rather they spend the money on brand new vehicles. It’s just a chassis as well, the chassis is the least important part.
Its just 12km range @ 5km alt. How will it be on par with Pantsir? Especially since it most likely can’t do alot vs. Kh-28MT.
12km range is already the max for all VT-1 missile SPAAs. So the new system it won’t change alot.

main advantage compared to the ItO is way better radar, fire and forget and smoke grenades for self defence
but yeah 8km extra range is just better than all that
I’d rather have FnF cause otherwise the current maps are just not enough. FnF allows u to fire and leave and not stand in danger. That’s why even though R27ER has more range people would rather have R77.

And it can be put on any chassis. The chassis in of itself is of no good.
The Pantsir has a 16km range against jet targets in manual guidance mode, and 13km in automatic guidance mode, and is SACLOS guided.
12km IR guided is inherently superior to 12km SACLOS guided.

VT-1 is not IR guided.
If IR guided and SACLOS guided were equal, then IR guided weapons wouldn’t be the same BR as superior range SACLOS guided weapons to begin with.
There is an inherent superiority F&F missiles have over SACLOS guided missiles.
