whats the source of this
First MMW missile, the brimstone, had a 3 paragraph explanation (of mostly nonsense) in the dev blog it was announced in
Pantsir has guns and is very often used offensivly. They can shred western tanks from the side and disable them with this multi barreled hellfire in no time from any direction.
Thats why its stats differ to pure SAM vehicles which just sit back far behind the lines.
Also keep in mind that non russian nations rarely spawn jets or helis anymore. Who is really willing to spawn 850points to get just Pantsired at spawn. Pantsirs dont have that much air targets to shot anymore. While non russian teams face far more targets, maps are flooded which Suchois and Kamovs.
Brochure, I also have it.
5km altitude vs kh38mt xD so balanced
8 with the ammo box.
At this point, I am hoping the US gets the captured Pantsir they got from Libya with all these new SPAAs coming. If this is what we can expect from the rest of the upcoming additions, then the status-quo remains and renders additions like this DoA.
featuring a command module with radar and a towed trailer with a launcher for IRIS-T SL surface-to-air missiles.
this part isnt really correct, since the “trailer” is powered and not really towed
is this just an easy of communication or did someone interperate how the BvS10 works incorrectly?
The image is the Bv 206 but its the same pricipal
- Unique layout, as the missiles are located on a trailer
LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER
The vehichle has the engine in front but all four tracks are powered. and the rear compartment isnt a trailer. its a tracked articulated all terrain veichle. its meant to be able to go EVERYWHERE. and it turns by turning the middle part of itself. the front part cant function without the rear part.
i really hope you dont make it a trailer.
Ger could get this Pantsir. It uses ger MAN 8x8 truck with Rheinmetall ballistic protection kit.
Isn’t it called the Rbs 98 in Swedish service?
yes, but that one dosnt have its own radar. or its own tracking system.
the IRIS-T missle is called the RB 98 yes, was that your question or did you mean something else
Are there any infos what Germany will get as IRIS launch vehicle?
germany doesnt have any IRIS-T SLS systems, and i doubt we will get the IRIS-T SLM systems any time soon since they would have 40km range instead of 12km
Skyguard or quad FlaRakRad with HFK/KV missiles would make way more sense, shoving the pantsir in the german tech tree because some german truck carried it once is ridiculous
no idea sadly.
Sweden really getting the IRIS-T SLS before Germany huh
well yes since germany doesnt have the SLS in service as far as i know and SLM will be way to op for now
