No, the problem is people don’t know how to play the bushmaster. Not every tank is going to be useful in every scenario. The bushmaster can do some serious damage if played right. I bring mine to top tier BR 13 to clap cheeks frequently.
Bushmaster just requires lots of good aim from its users and positioning this video is all from one match.
The bushmaster is fine, the EFV has both controlled suspension and tracks plus thermals. It’s not the main character on the battlefield but I don’t see it making much of a difference dropping it to 8.7 so sure drop it.
You’re just going to have the same problem later but at 8.7
Of course light vehicles aren’t going to stand up toe to toe with mbts but the bushmaster is just very situational to begin with I think decompression would be better rather than just changing the be of one type of vehicle I’d rather go from very situational to just somewhat situational
It can’t go toe to toe but the bushmaster isn’t to blame and like I said. This thing is just a “nice to have vehicle” it shouldn’t be anyone’s go to especially with the size and maps in war thunder.
Lower the BR to 8.7, guarantee if they do they’ll be back here asking for another BR decrease. It’s too big, too bulky, and not worth the effort grinding it when I first saw the event. The crew and ammo are in the turret with little armor it’s just a driving free kill.
Size and lack of armor are shared by many of the vehicles that utilize the Bushmaster but you are right in a way that the EFV is more of a gimmick vehicle with its hydrofoil when amphibious vehicles are already a gimmick at best currently and it suffers in the mobility category on ground
Not true, most utilize a crewless turret and protection for crew (Spall Liner, external ammunition). Even the bradley uses the frontal engine to protect crew at 8.3.
@MR_BOOMBASTICc they can drop it as low as they want its going to be food for most tanks the way it’s laid out.
EFV has 30 mm bushmaster 2 Mk.44 Mode. 1 cannon capable of firing the MK258 AFDSDS.
It can 100% penetrate just like the same video I posted above where I’m using the Type 24 ICV (P) against BR 12.7 Russian tanks, even when I use it at it’s BR 9.7 if used correctly it is more deadly.
Bushmaster isn’t the problem, the vehicle is simply trash and even a lower BR it will still be too big, too fragile and will get rocked if it exposes just the turret since the crew is in it next to the ammo. The problem with the vehicle, ignoring skill of the user, is the it is simply just not good and should not of been added to a game where water in GRB is extremely situational to use.
From my perspective, it already has a lot for sitting at BR 9, but design wise it’s just downright terrible.
It’s kind of fine where it is. Nobody is bringing along as their first spawn, or second spawn for that matter. Not when you can jump in an XM-1 or MBT-70 or even Stingray if you want the SPEEEEED.
I think it’s actually the perfect gimmick/meme/unserious vehicle. People who didn’t grind it out are not going to have their games ruined by an OP monster. Those who got it can choose to make use of it or not.
I do use it and find it fun for tooling around. If I’m stooging around in a tank that’s the size of a Bungalow with a 30mm and paper-armour - I’m not expecting to facetank entire teams of MBTs in the thing.
What it IS good at is that funny mid-game period when people are running around without checking their flanks. The 30mm darts can do consistent plinking of targets that are side-on at most ranges - while still not making that ‘line of tracer’ that the rapid fire autocannons do - meaning in some cases it isn’t so easy for your targets to immediately get a bearing on you.
can we get the old 3 star excalation system with the nuclear bombers back? i think we all agree we loved having the b52 and tu95 nuke bombers as a final goal
