EF2000 air craft

Hello. What is the difference between the EF2000 and the EF2000AESA? Because I’m currently playing with the EF2000 and I’m having trouble killing enemies in BVR mode. I don’t have much experience with aircraft; I just want to kill a few enemies from a distance with the 120-C-5 missile. Can someone experienced help me with this?

It’s in the name

The main difference is one has a mechanical radar while the AESA has an Actively Scanned Electronic Array radar. Basically just has a better radar

Id go as far to say “actually usable”, the base captor is utter dogwater.

Do you fly high and fast?

Don’t forget that, considering the German one is being discussed (EF2000), the AESA one also gets an IRST search and track.

The ef2000 AESA has a way better radar then the ef2000, so it will help you data-link missiles onto a enemy

Yes, I’m flying at an altitude of 9-10 thousand km and the aircraft’s speed is approximately 1300 km/h. Although there are aircraft 40-50 km away, I fire at 2-3 aircraft and move slightly to the left or right, but despite playing a few games, none of the 120-C-5 missiles I fire hit the enemy. However, the enemy’s missiles hit me very easily.
I just want to take down 2-3 enemies from a distance with a top-tier EF 2000 and then die. Is there a simple way or tactic?

Well keep your alt below contrail alt. Try to also reach mach 1.5 at least.

As for firing at 40-50km range, only kind of enemies you will hit at that range are AFK ones.

Missile simply wont have enough energy to hit target that starts defending.

Firing C5s, i fire them at target 30km away if hes at same alt as me (8km or so) and im going at least mach 1.5.

Any slower, or if the target is at lower alt, and the distance drops dramatically.

Cranking is good but once the enemy missile enters MAW range (some 9km for EFT) you HAVE to notch and chaff.

40 is max u can expect to hit.

30km is better

Take min fuel, no 9m and fly 30 degrees to 5km … 10 degrees or less for the rest.

Spam.all missiles at 30km and il guarentee 100% u will get kills. U will also die as its really hard to notch being so aggresive but thats just practice

EF is great at BVR- doesnt need tbe AESA

If I fire and the enemy fires back, should I keep my radar on them or turn around and dodge the missile?

Your missiles have their own radar so you don’t need radar lock for them to hit. If missiles have datalink the radar lock will help but if you’re being launched at it makes more sense to defend.

Thank you for your help. I will try to put what you said into practice. Thanks again.

Go watch some radar and top tier tutorials on youtibe if you don’t know how to play top tier jets.

Depends on situation but generally not. Just fire ARH back his way to put pressure onto him and start full defending.

You can always recommit to the attack with another missile after you dodge.

So the one is a mechanical radar, the second one is a faster mechanical radar, hope it helps
