I’m Brazilian and I’m looking forward to the EE9 Cascavel that will arrive at the Cyprus subtree in Israel. Does anyone know if it carries sabot ammunition, has a stabilizer and laser rangefinder?
The EE-9 is basically an AML-90 with an extra axle, same exact cannon likely same poor armor and probably worse mobility, translates to: It doesn’t have APDS-FS, has no stabilizer obviously with few sources stating laser rangefinder device and thats it. The 90 mm EC-90 is an low pressure gun based of from 90 mm D921.
the main gun lacks stabilization in either elevation or azimuth, and an optical firecontrol system is fitted; this last can be upgraded optionally with a laser rangefinder

the ee9 of cascavel from Cyprus and other countries (not all) carried apds, apfsds, two-plane stabilizer and laser rangefinder!
Do you have sources for those claims? As I stated before, it’s essentially an AML-90 with a extra axle as I said before, the cannon is the same, early variations were equipped with the same AML-90 turret and late variants with a Swiss version, from the sources I’ve found none mentioned APDS-FS and two-plane stabilization.
No, the EE-9 Cascavel used by Cyprus was the MK4 version. According to reports, it only has a laser rangefinder and does not feature stabilization or APFSDS/APDS ammunition. The only EE-9 Cascavel equipped with APFSDS, APDS, and stabilization is the EE-9 Cascavel NG.
