I am normally not a fan of squadron vehicles because they take extremely long to research (come on Gaijin, there’s so many squadron vehicles, you gotta pump the max RP gained per cycle), but, in this case, I don’t mind too much, since I don’t have any French helis and the grind there is even worse, so…
So it is a straight downgrade from HAD block 2? Also according to the leak, it is a squadron vehicle, the only purpose of this heli is to make some quick money from people who will probably GE it an maybe give people lesser grind toward the heli tree (I mean they need block 2 anymore consider this does the job too).
Or some unrealistic thoughts, they will remove the fire and forget and put it in 9.7 (HAP 10.0 - cannon)
France recently got a premium apache so i don’t think people care that much about this heli for grinding the tree, but it is useful if you didn’t grind helicopter tree and want a heli for top tier+ without putting more money and have time.

its likely they remove the HAP all together, because it is physicaly not able to use HOT missles,

No thats likely not the point, the fact that it has FNF missiles means it’s essentially a lot stronger and more suitable for top-tier battles than that Apache. Unless you are using Apache as a sl grinder (which I doubt anyone would buy it just for that)
I don’t see the point of that premium Apache anymore, you can research heli with ground too.
Why would anyone spend GE on a squadron helicopter (which is absolutely free after a very short time) when they can buy a premium Tiger HAP?
I don’t think HAP is any useful in both pvp and pve, your missile lacks range and at 10.0 there is no line up for it, plus you can research heli through ground. IMO there is no point buying a premium heli.
On the other hand top tier squadron vehicle need quite a period of time for you to get it, and that is pretty much the end of the line heli right there, why bother getting premium and grind if you can just have a end of line vehicle
6km is more then enough for PvE. Gepards have maximum fire range 3km. Premium helicopters are better to research heli TT as it has RP and also SL bonuses. The only significance would have that squadron for ground RB, but even there I think it is pointless to spend GE when it is possible to have it completely free within three months + no bonuses. Better to spend money for some premium.

I do understand that not everyone will GE a vehicle that you can get it free, but if we are spending GE, why all the grind and pain if your purpose is to add a top tier cas to your lineup

As for me personally, it is more attractive to have GE on the account. And use them for something meaningful that speeds up research or prints tons of SL. But thats me. People may want something else. :D

Again, this is not such a problem. It’s easy to predict roughly where the enemy groups will appear and prepare to position. And then take out Gepards with HOTs and finish off the rest with a unguided rockets or by cannon. I do that all the time. Or go to the AH-64D, which is even better.

Nah. Now its not so bad. It was worse in past. I remember times when I had to fight with Mi-4AV against spam of Ka-50 with Vikhrs. I did it to Mi-24P and then it changed to PvE where I did it to Mi-28N. Then I bought Ka-50 for GJN which I have collected during that time (for personal reasons and also for SL printing).
True, maybe I’m just too tired of heli pve, that mode makes my blood boil every time, and those gepards spawn below me randomly lol. I had enough when grinding the block2, AH Mk1 and Z9WA. Every single time its a different suffer.
I guess people have different choices. I would spend GE on other things like premium time and vehicles, but for premium heli is a big no no. I would get away from that mode if I have a choice ;)

Yeah it can be very repetitive and annoying. Thats why I play it only when I have some big SL booster. And thats Gepard which spawn directly below are awful. I hate it too. Despite all that, when I remember how it was in the past, we are doing very well now.
Btw I have this picture from old times. My most successful battle with Mi-4AV. I dont know how I did that but I did that xD
