Well its a huge step up from my integrated graphics on a 10210U lol. I remember when that laptop could run this game at 60 fps on medium settings…
They are in the grand scheme of things but they’re not for me. I started playing this game on a 2013 Toshiba Satellite
You know the GTX1080 is better than the 3050 right… like a lot better…

I saw 3050 > 1080 as numbers so i assumed that applied to computers :P

You’re all good. The 1080 is roughly 50% faster than a 3050 in raw performance, although technically the 3050 has an edge in ray tracing and upscaling, but I despise upscaling. DLSS4 sucks, and lets be real You’re not ray tracing on a 3050.
The 1080 is an older high end card. The 3050 is a newer budget card. First two numbers are the generation, latter two numbers denotes how good it is.
Generally speaking a card one generation newer is equal to a step higher on the previous gen. For example a 3050 is about as good as a 2060. Its not perfectly accurate but good enough to compare.
