If you are experiencing crashes with DX12, turning off nvidia highlights will prevent the game from crashing in multiplayer matches. Attempting to use shadowplay to record will also crash the game.
Photo mode worked, however.
DX12 crashed for me with and without Highlights or Capture enabled.
So far I have narrowed it down to DLSS and shadows. Effect gets exasperated with Ray Tracing. You will notice a green tinge in smoke shadow right before crash. With Ray Tracing on you will notice your whole game exaggerate green tint.
I have also found that the crash frequency increase if you run DLSS at Quality / Performance. Native has been most stable without Ray Tracing. Have not tried the other presets for DLSS.
Event viewer provides no report to the crash, so not a general crash event either which I find a bit weird.
It ran better when it was in beta like when you had to make it go into DX12 now it has not run the same and I get good FPS about 175-200fps but I like to cap it at 144fps it crashes every match in DX12 like and sometimes even in the menu
it was so much better when you had to force it on with the steam launch options with ( driver:t=“auto” with driver:t=“dx12” ) but now the game barely runs with DX12.
it was better but then when it was “officially released” it got worse. weather I have RTX on or off the same way or even if I run the game at high, medium or low. the game simply does not work with DX 12 like it did back in the day.
