DX12 not working

So, I’m trying to use ray tracing. I need to be using DX12 to do that. I’ve tried selecting DX12 in the render options. However, when the game launches, it reverts to DX11, and there is no option to change it in the game. Honestly, I’m not sure where I’m going wrong. I have also tried using the work-in-progress client, but nothing has produced any results. Any advice would be appreciated.
