DX12 Fatal Error after 3-4 Minutes – Unplayable Experience
Hi everyone,
I’ve been having a persistent issue with DX12 in War Thunder. Every time I try to play with DX12 enabled, the game crashes with a “Fatal Error” after 3–4 minutes — usually just after I enter a match. This has happened at least 10 times, and I’ve already lost multiple aircraft because of it.
The worst part is that I can’t use DX11, because my CPU is too old and the performance is terrible. DX12 gives me a much better frame rate, but the random crashes make the game completely unplayable for me. I’ve tried various settings, reinstalled drivers, verified game files, but nothing helped.
This issue has seriously made me lose interest in the game. I just want to enjoy playing without fearing a sudden crash every time I take off.
Specs:
• CPU: Intel i7-4770
• GPU: RX 5600 XT
• RAM: 16 GB
• OS: Windows 10 (latest updates)
Any fix or workaround would be really appreciated.

moi aussi et en plus j’ai un problème de connexion vue que j’ai un compte PlayStation je dois me connecter via mon compte PlayStation mais je peux pas quand je met mes identifiant sa me mes timed out
It ran better when it was in beta like when you had to make it go into DX12 now it has not run the same and I get good FPS about 175-200fps but I like to cap it at 144fps it crashes every match in DX12 like and sometimes even in the menu
it was so much better when you had to force it on with the steam launch options with ( driver:t=“auto” with driver:t=“dx12” ) but now the game barely runs with DX12.
it was better but then when it was “officially released” it got worse. weather I have RTX on or off the same way or even if I run the game at high, medium or low. the game simply does not work with DX 12 like it did back in the day.
