So why do the US use so much equipment made by British companies as of current. M2/M3 Bradley? Oh thats right, MADE BY BAE SYSTEMS. M109A7 Paladin? Oh thats right, MADE BY BAE SYSTEMS. Mk.41 VLS? Oh thats right, MADE BY BAE SYSTEMS. 57mm naval gun? Oh thats right, MADE BY BAE SYSTEMS.
You sound stupid with your moot points

America is such a bad ally, Australia is buying our newest attack sub. British military defense is so terrible, Australia and Canada would choose to buy from the US while saying we’re no longer allies.
The AUKUS deal Australia is in doubt with? The F-35 deal Canada are also in doubt with? Canada and Australia are literally building British ships (Type 26 Frigate) for their own Navy because they are the best options (Hunter Class, AUS and the River Class, CAN).

Infact according to the rumors about MCAV last I heard Ajax (yes that one) was the one most favoured by the one running the program.
Meanwhile as you said US still has been effectively eliminated across the board from any new competitions for replacement. To the point when there is only one other option it would be selected in a way that is even a surprise to the Canadian military (looks at Globaleye)
A review that has gone over a year over it’s deadline for a response tell a lot.

That’s fine, they can buy the domestically developed British stealth fighter. Oh, wait…
Even Russia has a domestically designed and built 5th Gen fighter in service. Thats hilarious.
Canada are gearing up to buy Britain’s 6th Gen so what? You know the British designed stealth fighter that is the only one in Europe that hasn’t imploded and failed?
If we really want to delve into 5th Gens

Yeah, let’s see if the Tempest ever leaves the drawing board and it’s not British, it’s British, Italian and Japanese.
Maybe not full but still a key partner. Also the demonstrator should be appearing soonish iirc.
Besides this isn’t discussing the issue of country ties. Do you think the historical inventory and cooperation with the UK isn’t enough justification for a sub (not saying Canada absolutely has to be a British sub but I think it has a fair basis to be should a desicion be made, even if I think 4 subtrees would be too much).

Domestic Canadian and Australian vehicles should go in the UK tree. The F18 and M1 Abrams are not domestic Canadian and Australian vehicles, so they should not go in the UK tree.
Funny you should say “if Tempest leaves the drawing board”, becasue guess what the good news is, it has! It was shown off this year at Farnborough.
The so called “F-47” hasn’t even left the drawing board and is still shown off as renders.
And the F-35 isn’t fully American 🤷♂️. So once again, another moot point. And the other one Congress is that shit scared on losing, they locked away and are now finally modernising it.
Is that also why Australia bought British ASRAAM for their Hornet?
Would you also include specialised exports like the CF-188A in the UK tree or would you want to start rehoming the T-84T and Leopard 2A7HU amongst others?

Can we agree that probably the best reason for not wanting anything remotely interesting to be added to the US tree is so that we don’t have to have people like MiseryIndex as teammates.
No wonder US Mains have a reputation for being uniquely ‘special’…

You’d have to point out to him where these mysterious countries are… I think he works on the basis that anything outside of Nowhereville in Kansas is basically Narnia.

Reminder that Canada only bought said Hornets after the US gave them full freedom of control over the production line and modifications they wanted to make to them, US was originally hard denying that from them.

I think our colonial cousin is struggling a bit.

Been struggling all day sadly, forgot his meds this morning.
It’s sad to see. It really is.
Maybe the username is a cry for help?
I would love to see his reasoning for the Harrier though.
